Jenny Meatballs I hiked from Bennington, VT to right over Mt. Moosilauke. I took many days in town and often slept outside of a library just to get wifi to respond to emails regarding getting her the shoes, bivvy, and money for food that she desperately needed to complete this hike. I spent countless hours updating people with photos and videos to try to ensure that people were following her story from the get go because yes, it is that miraculous. This is the power of sisterhood, positive manifestations, and unwavering dedication. So believe it. Or hop off.

She recently lost one dog and abandoned the other with her mother. She is a selfish, narcissistic, lying fraud. Even her own mother won't defend her.
There is exactly zero chance that she completed the full course. I would wager a million to one odds on that statement.
You failed to mention the acid-dropping part of the story, but otherwise hit all the high points ;)

Scott Jurek is 6'2" 170 lbs. He was probably down to 150 on his hike. Then Karl is almost pure muscle so probably was north of 150 on his hike. If Kaiha is really 120 lbs or so on trail that can be a significant decrease in metabolism and caloric needs, especially if she can be that weight with all that fat on her.

So here's a thought... those people who believe the above can stop viewing and responding to the thread, whilst still allowing others to express their opinion. Maybe if the Outside article had definitively called her out as the cheating fraud that she is I would be more willing to let it die. As it stands, people who read the Whiteblaze discussion know that she cheated, but anybody who only read the article might well think that she's a poor victim who has been oppressed by the patriarchy. I want to make sure that this woman never gets another dime from suckers willing to support her "charity".

Is there any way to find out if her reason for being discharged from the army was actually due to being sexually assaulted? I don't want to rely too heavily on the word of a serial liar. Perhaps she was discharged because they realized that she was mentally unstable...
Do an internet search for "rob young", and every the top 10 hits mention his transcon cheating controversy. Rob won't be able to pull a scam like that again for a very long time, and neither will anyone else. SKINS had to fight a mini PR battle on social media and launch an investigation...I'm sure they will research athletes they sponsor a little more thoroughly down the road. Such a stink was made on forums such as this one, that articles were written in the guardian, outside magazine, sports illustrated, and runners world.
I wouldn't consider the ongoing discussion and accumulation of evidence as pointless. As time went on with Rob's scandal, websites were created, spreadsheets filled, and emails sent to sponsors. Initially, Rob's team was quick to rebuff each accusation, only to create more lies and dig their hole deeper. Eventually they just gave up and went silent. One quick look at his Wikipedia page shows that Rob Young Ultramarathoner is now synonymous with controversy.
If the Rob Young thread had ended in its first week, I believe that he would still be out there raising money from unsuspecting donors. SKINS would still be sponsoring him, and his book with its outlandish claims would continue to sell copies. All of these things are made much more difficult with the ongoing conversation that has continued on these message boards. The same type of ongoing pressure should be applied to this young woman, as long as she continues to maintain this falsehood in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Before you feel bad for her, remember that she is asking for donations that could be going to a legitimate organization that advocates on behalf of young women, but are instead going towards lining her pockets. She has undoubtably brought this scrutiny upon herself, and the endurance community is doing exactly as it should...holding her accountable where no one else will bother.
I agree that the bias of the Outside article in not discussing the hard evidence and in portraying her as a victim will only prolong this fiasco for these disturbed women. She cheated, that much is clear, yet the article attempts to breathe life into her claim.

So she was in the park, asked for a ride out of the park, called ahead to a hostel, was dropped off at the hostel and then returned to a more southernly part of the trail to continue to hike south? And the timestamps include this? Where is the information on where she started hiking again the following day and what are the mileage waypoints where she stopped, got off and what are the mileage waypoints for when she started again?
seems like these tidbits need to be presented to be sound proof? I'm sure they exist but I don't see them anywhere easy to look at
we need another infographic showing the pick up off the trail, the hitch to the hostel, and the next known starting point on trail with mileage gaps and time stamps
