it's unbelievable to me that we can sit here and SEE a kenyan surge into a sizable lead on the screen and these announcers don't even acknowledge it for two minutes
it's one thing to be a moron
it's worse to be a moron who doesn't even pay attention

Hall still up there but took his time responding...merga surging a bit now
I just don't see how Hall can win vs the 12 africans...one of them will have a monster kick and for Hall 4:00 pace is all out
hall's been paying attention to his watch and knows that nobody will keep up the pace of any of these surges.
it'll add to the drama, but I think he's still very measured and not rattled by the surge games
Noticed how Hall was the last to get back with the pack. Reserving as much energy as possible, stretching it out and not shooting his load all at once in the later stages of the race when it matters most.
mile 16, just ran a 4:44 (downhill) according to announcers.
Pack still together, but pressing.
DeReuck going to pull Kara up the hills and the Goucher will surge!
man that was scary...
If I downloaded flip, is there anything I need to do to make it work? it still isnt working and that f'in kara goucher commercial is driving me insane
REAL daylight between Hall and lead
Pack has strung out a bit, Hall was all the way in the back. Not losing contact yet but keep an eye on him. The race is just starting, he needs to get up front with the Cheruiyots and Merga if he wants a shot. If they make a move and get a gap on him it is over.
Merga is a beast up that hill, perfect, will burn himself out...Go Ryan!!
one surge followed by another next five miles, get ready ryan
Hall in the back, quite a bit behind...ouch!
NOOOOO
merga and cherioyots up there
Hall is moving up slowly. Looks to be running smart and not wasting energy on fast bursts.
Lead pack of 4 in file, pressing, back pack a bit behind, Hall working his way up.
must feel nice for kara or colleen to know they have a teammate up there.
With that running form, Hall needs to hang out with Usain Bolt post-race: http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DO57UTdA9bF0&ei=BpPsSbvQHqHqswPa44jsAQ&usg=AFQjCNEnNXA0sVVflU4gDs8T_3LreIJ88g
i hope ur right, as I thought the same, but it is getting scary now

Really would like to see Hall up there in the top 5. Too many surges and he won't even know how far back he is before too long.
Chuck Wepner anyone?
