She ran the 3200 at state last year. And the year before.
Jeeezus, SoCal talent is deep. My daughter recently ran a big PR of 10:47 but she’s at a D1 school in the southern section…she has probably has a small chance of making it through SS prelims. In like 48 other states she’d probably finish pretty high in a state meet.

She improved 18 seconds this year. If she can improve another 18 she may get that at-large (10:29.45) time and it doesn't matter what place she gets at the Masters meet. In the past I've seen the entire field make it to state based on time. Good luck to her.

The real question is whether or not she gets through divisionals. That's always the real test.

Yep…it’s a tough group to have to compete against , but she has had a trend of having her best improvements when the competition is strong, so I’m excited to see what she can do.
