I totally agree?

AD Fulmer gave her an extension last year. They certainly will not fire her. This old guard hopes she leaves. Defending herself plenty on Twitter. Always wait till next year with her.

Any word out of USF or UNC as far as assistants go? I’m sure UNC is waiting on head job at Stanford before those assistants decide/forced to move.

I agree in part with Coach J's post, as to the lack of team improvement and lack of development of athletes, along with excuses. In her defending herself, there is no analysis of what went wrong, no apologies for mistakes, no explanation of how/why things will be different.

I would also add her unethical treatment of the freshman athletes when she was first hired at Tennessee.

I certainly can't wait for her to leave UT, since I made a promise to never send any of my athletes to the school as long as she is coaching. On the other hand, it will be harder to to convince my athletes not to go to Stanford if the athletic administration at that school is foolish enough to hire her.

Everyone needs to stop saying BAS is on the verge of getting fired. Just last year (2018) she received a contract extension through 2022.

Yes there is a lot of evidence of her doing a horrible job, but that doesn't mean she's even remotely close to getting fired.

Not sure which is worse, making these comments not knowing how many years BAS has left on her contract. Or, not knowing that any head track and field coach that was going to be fired, would have definitely been let go before the middle of summer on July 14th.

Don't be too harsh on them! These same people actually think Stanford might hire a head coach with no Director of Track and Field experience...….. i.e. : Patti Sue Plumer, Deena Evans, Lauren Fleshman, Mike McGuire, Schumacher,

A promise to never send your athletes there? Seems extreme when choosing a school has a lot more factors than your sport and more specifically who is coaching them. Especially if this is only informed by poor results - and not some type of detrimental conduct. Guide your athletes yes - but let them make their own decisions and don’t try and control them.

Don’t put Schumacher in the group that doesn’t have director experience. He has all the experience you need for the Stanford job. But his season goes to October. So, he won’t be coaching over at Stanford anytime soon.

The better question is why did Ondrasek leave and where is he going? I have heard A&M or Stanford. It seems strange for a guy to leave a power 5 program without having a new landing spot already determined.

Expect Clemson/Miami/Oklahoma//LSU to give some of the younger up and comers a chance. And yes, I include McGregor in that category.

Exactly. College coaches consider it a huge red-flag on a kid who runs for a high school coach who thinks they have the power to make college choices for their athletes.

Agree with this, HS coaches should give advice when asked but should not be deciding where their HS athletes should go to school. Stay out of it, the kid will be spending four years of their life at the school that fits them best.

I stay away from kids with HS coaches who think they are agents.

What’s “new blood”?

Guys/girls who have only volunteered? Or have a couple years of full time experience?

Some high school coaches have egos bigger than collegiate strength and conditioning coordinators .

Rather than let the athlete choose what college to go to, they want to appear big time and send the athlete where the coach wants them to go.

Most cases, that never works out.

Not true. Look, he could have any one of these jobs if he wanted them. Why would he want to go back to the college set up from his current position? He’s built a great program and appears to love it. Quit making stuff up.
