Sounds like Bijan was going to do Stanford after all, but they didn't let him into the meet. According to the other thread, he's going to run a 5k instead.

Today, all we D3 runners are Bijan.
Bijan is getting totally screwed. I feel terrible for him. It would be less of a big deal (though still unfair) if he was simply not let in, but for the meet director to say he would be in and then reject him after he had already made accommodations and paid the entry fee is straight up fraudulent. I would make a stink to higher ups and have the email promising a spot in-hand.
#FreeBijan
Seems to be a general trend, been happening at Drake to a lesser extent for 15 years.
Its always upsetting because many D1s use D3 meets as their farm system and send a lot of mediocre kids, which there are many because of some schools bloated roster size, to these meets in lieu of having to pay for them to travel. Doesn't seem to be a great relationship. I hope LaMere takes quite a few scalps and that Bijan uses his brain to make a lot of money to build a track that only d3 kids can use.
I'm pretty sure Paul Escher didn't get into Drake last year, and then ran 3:45 a week later. Some of these d1 coachesnd and meet directors...
By the way, this is all BS. The reason Bijan didn't get in is because his coach forgot to submit the entry by the deadline. Obviously B is pretty upset, but don't blame Stanford.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is not true.

The REAL reason Bijan Mustard didn\'t get in is because he fathered a son with the meet directors wife. His name is Bijan Maserati JR and he eats nails for breakfast out of the hollowed out skulls of his NEICAUSTFCCASAC foes.
It's ok, Bijan can still run at the Silfen Invitational, the Stanford of the East!

Yes it is.

This is a joke, but it would actually be nice if Silfen Elite Distance Night took off and became a really solid meet for New England guys.
Should be a pretty good 5k at Wash U tonight. About 150 guys are in it.
With LaMere cranking out a 28:38, (14:32, 14:06 splits) does this mean no one else has a chance, barring injury or any other freak thing, in the 5k and 10k. Does Thorson try his luck in the 1500 against Marquardt and Escher, or stay fresh for the 5k? Should be some good racing regardless. Will the Oles be racing the 5k at uwp again? That could be an all-timer with LaMere, Thorson, Campbell all trying to run fast.
Campbell is running the 5k at plateville
lol guys remember Amherst in the DMR at nationals last year
NASA just released a new picture of the Milky Way and if you zoom in on the far right you can see Amherst's baton still going strong after being launched into orbit at Tufts Last Chance.
That baton was launched into orbit at speeds approaching 1:57 for the first 800 meters
28:38!!! What does this mean wrote:

Last year's 5k was better.
