OFFICIAL WOMENS MARATHON THREAD

I don't mean it should've been a straight course. It might be that the course requires more changes in pace and I'm wondering how someone like Ryan Hall - who it seems to me doesn't change pace very well - might want to think hard about how to approach the race. It might have been that Keitany would've won on the traditional London course but wasn't the best suited for this course.

Just as an example - instead of surging and slowing with the main group, jockeying for position on all the turns - maybe hang in about 30 seconds back and try to run more evenly. Save your energy for the last 10k and not waste it where it doesn't matter that much. You saw how people came from behind. Ryan - listen to me! Wise advice for a mediocre mid-packer!

It's easy to get on the podium in regular marathons because of the lack of elite runners. London Marathon 2012 has lack of elite women. But the olympic field has 120 runners. Other marathons have like 10.

Will Tiki Gelana start running the world marathon majors after getting 25 points? NO one talked about Tiki in La Marathon 2010. I hope she'll run a 6th career marathon because she can improve on her best time 2:18:58. Tiki definitely can improve on 2:18:56.

Amsterdam was Tiki's breakthrough marathon. Who knew she can improve so rapidly? Tiki is inexperience in LA Marathon because its only her 2nd time 2:28:28. Could Tiki get invited to London Marathon 2013 but that's a long time. She should run Berlin on sept 30th. The kenyan record 2:18:37 is going down.

Berlin marathon perfect flat straight course but shi** competitors. I give up on Berlin ever since 2011 when Paula actually finished on the podium because the elite runners run so slow. Paula don't give a fu* about running when she dropped out with a fake injury.
