What most don't know or realize is that in hs KT had a weird stalker type guy who sent her letters and cards almost on a daily basis. Sure this has her spooked a little still about posting a race schedule.
Unfortunate but not shocking if you consider how LetsRunners are obsessed with her and other phenoms, and considering what happened to Emily Infeld.
All of those years hearing her tiring fans point out that she was faster than top Americans when they were younger. Now we are going to see a high schooler beat her lifetime best.

Very few phenomenons actually go on with it. Intense training on growing bodies at an early age garners results for coaches but not great for the long term well being of the athlete.

Another college coach ruining a young runner just so that the University can look great.
But this one isn't the same. She isn't running 4:35/9:50/15:50 like others. She beat the top returner in the NCAA.

She raced like 5 times indoor??? A lot of pros only raced 1-2x.
Not truly finished but should be. She is stuck at 15:00 while college and high school girls run faster.

Realistically, she has a few more years.
Whittni Morgan won NCAA XC in 2021 then floundered a bit with injuries and illness. Now at 27, she is finally hitting her stride and even got 4th at World Indoor 3000m.
Sometimes it takes a few years.
