Last post, to go from 10.85 to 11.31 is an epic 0.46 burn. It is difficult to believe that she didn’t execute one single bit of her training. In the absence of illness, it was either a complete panic back to baseline, something else much quicker-acting, or a combination of the two. I include a total flake-out in panic, as one possible response. Or, she could have some sort of dissociative disorder...bit she did react to the gun and run a complete race.
In my experience, a 10.8 athlete blowing it should run 11.1, or maybe 11.2, but not 11.3. Either it was full-on panic, or there was something else going on—and from what I saw, it was not full-on panic. She did not run with zero evidence of training. That’s an almost 5% burn.
Did she throw it because somebody placed a bet? From some of her tweets, it seems that she’s all about the $$$$$$$. It wouldn’t surprise me, and right now it seems as plausible a possibility as any.
