Totalitarian censorship is totalitarian censorship. I am sure if Orwell was alive today, he wouldn't be saying "censorship is only bad when the government does it" (really hot take, by the way) especially given that social media wasn't invented.

Seriously though, can we stop acting like we are arguing about the morality of censorship, if the liberals' best argument against Big Tech censorship is "well, it isn't illegal (yet) so it's fine" then it's not much of an argument. They really don't care about the morality of it at all, as long as the censorship is of people they disagree with they're going to support it. Stop trying to argue with liberals, they don't care about morality they just want power. That's why:

Kavanaugh rape accusations = #BelieveAllWomen but Biden accusation = "we need to hear all the facts"

BLM/Antifa riots = good, Trump riots = bad

George Floyd dies from a heart attack resisting arrest while high on meth and fentanyl and has a nationally-viewed funeral where he is buried in a gold casket. David Dorn (a black officer) dies fending off a robbery during George Floyd riots doesn't get more than a day of news coverage, is completely forgotten a week later.

Christian bakers who choose not to bake gay wedding cakes should be charged according to the left, whereas Big Tech should be allowed to censor the president of the United States because they're a private business.

Not sure why you're bringing Hunter Biden back in to the conversation as a sideshow distraction, but I and most of America would happily take Biden's kids, two of whom are exemplary - a decorated veteran and a social worker, over the antithesis of "real" America - trust funded rich kids riding their dad's coat tails.

In an alternate reality, if neither Biden or Trump were politicians, 90+% of Americans would look at Trumps kids with disdain. 70-80% would look at Hunter with similar disdain, but some with realization that he's obviously broken person with serious issue. Beau and Ashley would be seen as great people. Counter that summation, please.

My gosh, you actually have something to offer once you calm down. I get that way too, as I'm sure most do.

I see nothing wrong with extensive background checks for weapons and limits on those used for killing only. I know most legislation is in name only to comfort people and has little to no real impact. I fostered some teens and the amount of red tape was almost enough for me to bail, yet I can buy an assault rifle pretty simply. That is difficult for me.

You have me confused if you think I was for censorship anywhere in this thread. My only point has been to try to get some, you included, to state what the GOP message/platform is that they claim is being censored. I feel they are more about being told to be quiet and to follow the rules than what it is they want to say. I think this is a trend with both sides but especially the current white house. They seem to make things all about them, not the people they are supposed to be representing.

No one knows the extent of Hunter Biden, so to pretend you do is disnigenuous in my eyes. Maybe he is running a China operation out of a DC pizza shop. He also is not working in the white house to grift the American people as the current family obviously are. They are in there for one reason and have been enabled to do so. I come from a working class family and my grandparents were immigrants. To see all trumps kids basically stealing from the constituents, Guliani, Anthony Kennedy(banking), Barr,.....who all have kids working in the white house is difficult to swallow. I know nepotism goes on in all walks of life, but when the decisions can cause lasting harm to others I am not a fan.

the "evidence" was not found to be credible in the courts, and overwhelmingly so. Most of the so called evidence didn't even withstand legal definitions of it.

It's quite obvious it was nothing more than a joke.

Furthered by the fact that during yesterday's House of Representative discussions, the claim that the election was stolen were largely absent. Point being, there is nothing credible there.

Only fools think otherwise, and certainly the courts, where it count, are not among those.

Christian bakers (or any baker) should, by and large, be allowed to refuse service to anyone, just like tech companies. It is in Christian bakers' best interest as well as tech companies' to have clear guidelines about who they will serve and to stick to those guidelines. We don't need government for this. Grow up people.

"Plenty of evidence of voter fraud"? Yet when Trump's attorneys had the opportunity to argue fraud, on the merits and before Trump appointed and other GOP judges, they always backed off and talked about administrative procedures (that were known to both sides before the voting so certainly not within the definition of fraud). Why? Because despite your claim, there really isn't any evidence of fraud. It they'd had that evidence they would have presented it, and it would have given Trump the best chance to chance the vote in one or more battleground states.

Assuming you confusion is in good faith, you are treating public statements and internet blog report about fraud with real evidence of fraud.

I am just smart enough to clearly see the republican playbook.

1) Stand for nothing. Offer nothing to the people but fear that the evil immigrant and struggling citizens are the only reason you are not a multi-millionaire.

2)Play the victim. We are being censored. Our "human rights" are being censored.......as we cut aid to those struggling, will not offer virus relief beyond what we funneled to the Kushners....

3)Lie! As our fearless leader says "lie, and the bigger lie the better. Lie enough and most people will believe it is true." trump's words: "It I ever run for office it will be as a republican. You can make those people believe anything."

My point is that they really are not concerned with anything that may help people, sans ultra-rich which will fund their existence. They really do not have anything they want heard. They just want to beat the drum that they are being victimized. Change the narrative.....repeat.....repeat, but at all costs refer back to playbook #1.
