Why would the Democrats care about investigations into voter fraud if there wasn't any fraud to begin with? You would expect their attitude to be this: "Let the investigations continue. So what? They'll turn up nothing". But, that's not happening.
There's only one possible reason why the Democrats are so worried about Trump questioning the Election results (when they all did the same exact thing for years): they know there really was massive widespread vote fraud and they're worried if investigators keep digging, they're eventually going to find it. That's what's really happening.
Wrong. After 11/4/20 there were about two months of investigations in various states, two months for supposed evidence to be presented to the media and judicial systems and plenty of opportunities for the losing side to show their smoking guns. They couldn't prove anything and there was bipartisan support for the American democracy to move on as inauguration day loomed and the current administration's focus on "fraud" left the real and current problems of the American people to the wayside.
Since you're so focused on the "hypocrisy" of Pelosi in 2016/17 - please remember that she acknowledged Trump's win on Nov 9th. No leading Republican acknowledged Biden's victory till after Dec 14th. Her position was supported by facts, 37 indictments and guilty pleas following investigations into the 2016 election.
And why were the loudest cries about fraud in 2016, before and AFTER the election, coming from Trump himself. Wasn't winning enough? Or was there more dogwhistling to extract from the election?
Please also explain how the 2020 Rep claims compare to the 2016 Dem claims:
- 2020: claims of duplicate ballots, added fake ballots, machine tampering, machine malfunctions, and lies in the reporting process, all supposedly done by American citizens. All have been found to be false, factless and lacking evidence.
- 2016: voting systems were hacked and potentially compromised by non-American citizens for their own motives. Non-gov, 3rd party entities reported these potential issues and the Mueller report outlined clear, factual compromises to our election process and subsequent involvement and coverups from the Trump campaign. You can shout no collusion all you want and bang your chest that nothing came of the report, but the facts don't lie.
