Have you noticed that the Dem governors were damn sure they were going to do everything in their power to stop people from going to church, but seem downright gleeful about huge mobs of violent thugs trashing cities? I guess the scamdemic is over?

Not true.
I don't remember the exact time we started quarantine. Like most people, it was in mid-March.
It's not the lockdown that has destroyed the economy. It's the virus. Even with the economy "open", people are not going out and spending. You have to defeat the virus for the economy to recover.
As for the criteria to end lockdown, the coronavirus task force and the CDC have published guidelines. Those guidelines were largely ignored.
If we had at least followed those guidelines, we would be able to do most of the things you said. But we don't even have a national testing strategy. We don't have the resources to do tracing. We don't have mandates to wear masks.
Basically, our war time president decided this was all too hard, so he surrendered.

Washington — Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the nation's leading infectious disease experts, believes that by early 2021, the U.S. will have "a couple of hundred million doses" of a vaccine for the coronavirus.
In an interview with the Journal of the American Medical Association on Tuesday, Fauci said there are four or five trials underway for vaccine candidates, and he expects the U.S. to have millions of doses of a vaccine by the end of the year.
"By the beginning of 2021, we hope to have a couple of hundred million doses," he said.
The POTUS is obviously dropping the ball, but it doesn’t all fall on him. Governors, Mayors, etc. also have dropped the ball.
I encourage you to get tested regularly like me. You or your family could be unknowingly spreading the virus to even the limited number of people you come in contact with and the people they contact and so on.
Anyone in GA can get tested. It’s simple. Now even CVS, Walgreens, and others have opened up centers.
To get rid of the virus we need to test, trace, and quarantine positives.
I encourage you to be part of the solution.

If this is true, that's wonderful, and I agree with you wholeheartedly, Testing and tracing is the most effective use of resources for managing this crisis.
Reducing exposure is also important. Closing down the whole world is obviously not the right answer, but minimizing exposure by limiting higher risk activities (anything where people must be in close contact, particularly if for extended duration, and particularly where a lot of talking, yelling, singing etc is part of the activity) is the best way to avoid getting infected. It's all well and good to know you're sick / infected (so you can avoid infecting others, and also seek any needed medical assistance), it's a whole other thing to avoid getting sick.

I never said that getting tested will keep me from getting the virus. Experts say it is important for people to get tested - even people like you. I am engaging in behavior in line with experts say is okay.
Who is saying that someone like me should be tested? I'd be interested in seeing that.
Georgia health officials and Kemp under CDC guidance.
All Georgians should get tested in order to slow/stop the virus.
It’s been nearly a month since this was announced and you still haven’t gotten tested. Do your part, Fat Hurts.
You are no better than the people I see in public areas not practicing social distancing and not wearing a mask.

I'm certainly not going to take medical advice from Brian Kemp. And the CDC web site actually says I probably should not get a test. I'll consult with my doctor if I'm so inclined.
But let's talk about you. You say you have been tested twice and are planning to get tested a third time. And furthermore, you say you are getting tested for the common good.
As an asymptomatic person, the only way your testing is going to do any good for anyone is if:
1. You test positive.
2. It's not a false positive.
3. It's not a false negative. (15% chance, from what I've read)
4. It's within the short window of time between when have enough of the virus to show up on a test, but not enough to have symptoms. From what I understand, that's about a three day window.
5. It's a rapid test that doesn't need to be sent to a lab. Otherwise, that three day window is blown.
So just getting tested three times is extremely unlikely to be beneficial to anyone. You would need to get tested every day to have any real hope of helping society. Are you willing to get tested every day?
Seems as though you only take advice that fits your narrative. Only read the headline, eh.
Let’s talk about you. You say you and your family still go out and interact with people and do not get tested.
You have zero chance to know if you are an asymptomatic spreader to those you come in contact with, those your family comes in contact with and down the line. This how we get to exponential growth. There is no way to contact trace if you are not tested. Unless you are locked down with zero contact with anyone, you are risking spreading the virus.
I protect myself and others while in public and get tested regularly like the DPH recommends. Does this mean I’ll never get the virus? Nope. But it does mean that if I do contract it, I will stop the exponential growth rather quickly.
Follow the DPH recommendations and get tested regularly. Do your part to slow/stop the virus. If not for you or your family, do it for other Georgians who might otherwise die from this virus if it is not stopped soon.

"Hoping" is not the same thing as "predicting." And "predicting" is not the same thing as "knowing."

"Scamdemic"??? You might as well use the word, "sheeple."
Are you not aware that such infantile language immediately makes anything you have to say be completely discounted by pretty much everyone over the age of 15?

You have only been tested twice. You are not tested regularly. You are not tested enough to make a difference.
Still know not a soul who has been sick.
Three plus months into this horrific pandemic that gets 24/7 news coverage where we are told that cases are spiking, surging, and soaring.
And where we are shown famous people we have never heard of who have died of Covid.
Just today I wake up to the claims that George Floyd died of Covid (or maybe drugs---surely not the cop kneeling on his neck for 8 plus months) and also Chris Trousdale (who?).

Sigh.
Get your head out of the sand and be part of the solution. Listen to DPH officials and get tested.
I assume you’re an anti-vaxxer too??

Oh, thank goodness--the lockdowns really worked!
I sincerely hope that not another person gets sick from the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and that you'll never know anyone who has.

You need to realize that the internet doesn't screen out disturbed people. GC is convinced that the real world is made up entirely of his / her experiences. Anything not directly witnessed by GC (including you and me I suppose) is fake.

Yep.
Because when their is a worldwide pandemic and the bodies are piling up and the number of cases are surging and we have to blow up the entire economy, it is expected that so many of us would know not a soul who has been sick with it --three plus months in. Makes a ton of sense, We all know the establishment would never lie to us, never act in anyway that is not in our best interests.

I'm in NYC and I know three people who have died of COVID.

No. In fact, I also get a flu shot every year. I take the advice of my doctor. If he tells me I need a test, I will get one.
Above, you said, "I protect myself and others while in public and get tested regularly like the DPH recommends."
I think you are lying.
Time to put up or shut up. Show me where the DPH recommends what you said. Otherwise, I'll just assume you are a lying troll and this conversation is over.
6/3 stats
The world and the US spent a day on the plateau. In terms of a 7 day rolling average of daily deaths.
The 7 day average did fall a bit, which is good, but not enough to reach new cyclical lows or new short term highs.
So, a plateau for now.
Some movement in the rankings.
Poor Sweden keeps getting relatively worse. It moved past France in per capita deaths to 7th worst, after being 8th for many weeks.
Mexico moved up another notch to 29th worst
Arkansas moved up to 43rd worst US state.
Georgia has been stable in the rankings for a long time. They opened first so eyes have been on that state. But so far so good - they are more likely to be passed by OH NH MN than for them to get worse in the rankings. In other words, Georgia has been stable but those three are getting relatively worse and may soon catch and pass GA. Not sure what their lockdown status is.
