The displaced Washington sprints coach was Eric Metcalf. Another school will be lucky to get him for sprints or jumps - Great Coach.
Pat Licari is a Legend at UW!! Why they let him go is bizarre!?? Really sad the way these things go sometimes... Hope Pat gets on at his alma mater across the mountain at WSU and kicks UW’s Tail!!
It's all business at this level. Licari is a legend but he was part of a, sad to say, tainted staff. The new directors really had no option other than to clean house. I honestly do recognize how good of a vault coach Licari is too. Too bad, but that's life as a track and field coach. Jason Drake would have been an excellent 3rd distance coach as well and I know the Powell's have great respect for him but same thing. New directors, new staff.

This is a big hire for Washington A couple interesting tidbits... 1) If Coach Flo is so tough to work for as an assistant, how did Toby manage to work for him so long at two different schools? 2) The title of associate HC is used to justify giving more responsibility and salary to an outstanding coach. Great hire for the Powells, IMHO
