HIs contract was not renewed, and he was told back in Jan/Feb but the student athletes were not told until May. He did not recruit anyone during his time and left the cupboards bare.
What a crap hire, if coaches did some more work to hire better assistants and not just checks to fill boxes a lot more positive things would come out of these processes.
While I know you all only care about Stanford, what about the other open head coaching positions? Any ideas who’s head to Western Kentucky, Fresno St, UCD, or UC Santa Barbara? Or any the impending Tenn Tech spot?

You have to assume it would only be for a better gig. They made him associate head coach to try to keep him. I assume he is going to A&M, where he ran and coached before, or to a mid-major to be the head track coach.

There is already another thread on Kevin leaving OK but I am going to put my marker down right now and say he is going to Stanford. His analytical style will fit in great with the kids that go there.

Nothing, it is obviously a female hunt. Guarantee that there were several male applicants that had better resumes. My guess is there were just a handful of female applicants. Is our sport the only one that does this? I dont see womens basketball or softball forcing female hires.
