I'm finished with this thread. The moderators quickly delete any post that isn't some drooling ass kisser and I've had enough of it. This thread is like a pyramid scheme that never pays off. Good bye.

I agree. the censorship is getting ridiculous. Castro or Chavez have nothing on these moderators.
.02 cents. well said and you are correct that he does say, "what do you think"?
When you stop learning you stop living.
I took it out on Ghost, but I have read just one too many posts from people dispensing advice.
Everyone thinks they know the answer. Yeah training information is public. I would think that Henry would know when to move his training to the next phase better than anyone.
His body may be older, but the same rules apply, he just wont be as fast...yes he may get injured easier, but you have less chance of injury with a big base and lots of hill training.
I don't think his 6:23 mile would make it....maybe next year.

I just noticed a full page ad in the L.A. Times today for the "Summer National Senior Games" (50 and over), that is taking place in Louisville, Kentucky, from June 22-July 8. They are expecting 12,000 athletes over 50, to compete in an Olympic-style format. (not just track).
Are you competing in this ?
He can't. You have to have qualified by placing in one of the State Senior Games championships.

You know what? If a sponsor pay my dues or rent for six months my injuries will go away.Am I making any senses to you guys? My expenses causes the pain in my muscles which it leads to injuries because of worries dues to tightening the body.Is that ring any bells to you?
Henry
GET a job Henry like the rest of us
since the moderators at Letsrun, quickly delete any posts that try to give Henry 'solid, reality based advice' and want to keep him 'floating in this dream world' of ass kissers; I suggest that Letsrun mgt. send him a monthly check and sponsor him. Put your money where your deletions are!

The time doesn't matter. You have to compete in one of the regional (state) Senior Games and (I think) get in the top three...
....they don't have a mile race anyway - it's 1500m...
...and the Senior Olympics are every TWO years.
Sorry: feeling pedantic, I guess :)

Previous poster....Thanks for helping me out reading henry the riot act,Your the man.
I think Letsrun should step up and sponsor Henry, since they delete all posts other than the ass kissers, who keep Henry living in a fantasy world.
That would be the worst idea i got an idea.He want's everything for free, and i no that for a fact.Let's set him a drift.
i know, but I was putting letsrun mgts. feet to the fire or perpetuating the dream by deleting useful posts and only leaving up the 'yes-man' posts. Not helping henry face reality. they are using him, that way.

NO!NO! I don't want anything for free.Do you hear me or Are you talking to me?Don't get me started please!!!!! don't!!!!
I just want to run realy realy and realy fast! Stop being bashful about my abilities. You got my point.A runner wants to do the running. It is that leg gets on my way and the world knows me very well. When I'm injured it means Iam realy injured I'am not trying to make money by pulling people's legs.Is that make sense to you at all?
Henry
yes, Henry. I think that letsrun.com SHOULD sponsor you. I think it would get them alot more publicity. They should help runners, not just use them.
How are they using him? Henry chooses to post on LetsRun. He doesn't have to, but he does. If you are so concerned, then why don't you start some sort of fundraiser? That's right, you expect someone else to do it.
Lets run is not taking advantage of henry. It provides a great forum to exchange ideas. If henry is as serious as he says he is about coming back,he does not need letsrun.com.He just needs to go out and get it done and stop talking and then let us all no when he has arrived back with the results,PERIOD.
why not sponsor him? He is world famous and would generate alot of publicity for letsrun.com if he could work his way into top shape and be a top masters. He would get coverage, big-time all over the world.
I heard complaints that I was removing posts in this thread. I have not removed a post in here in ages. There are other moderators and moderating is a difficult job but the length of this thread gives some credence to what they are doing. If you disagree email me but don't just post your complaints in the thread as usually I won't see them.
Thanks for that, wejo.
I didn't see the latest post that Henry was refering to; don't know why it was removed, but I think if it had been left in the thread, others would have rebutted it as well.
Moderators have a thankless job, I know, but let's not be too sensitive...
Its hard enough for guys running fast out of college with no slip ups to get any money. Why should Henry get his get enough for his rent paid for? Track athletes dont sell shoes like basket ball players. Shoe companies lose money on racing flats/spikes and probably dont recoup what they put into their athletes unless its an olympic year and even that is a big if.
Henry has a degree(many he says) so why couldnt he get a teaching job? Summers of and flexible hrs to train.
The fact that he wants a sponsor(how many old timers have a sponsor that allows them not to work...and havent had a checkered past)is insane. Get a job Henry, showing the kids that you can use fall back on your education despite having many setbacks is more valuable a life lesson than running. Without schooling you'll go nowhere in life.
