Where are you watching?
The NBC Olympics online stream has zero commercials.
You're doing it wrong.
We are watching the actual NBC broadcast as you get a focus on US runners. I have BBC streaming on my PC with no commercials.
Beliver it or not. Watching on an actual TV is better.
Except the online feed seems to be on desi 50% of the time... wierd
Desi is gaining on the lead pack 19 seconds
Kiprop out!
As of 11:00am Rio
77 degrees
Feels like 79 degrees
65% Humidity
64 dew point
I about lost it when these Dumb NBC commentators said desi is "even further back"
Now 77 degrees and 72% humidity, while Desi is about to pick off Cragg and Kiprop in next few miles!

I'm calling it now. No medal for the Americans.
I think there is probably scientific evidence to support their game plan of holding on to the water bottles (Flanagan still has hers 3.5 minutes after grabbing it) but the fact that the Africans aren't doing it shows they aren't being bothered by the heat.
I think the biggest advantage africans have in the marathon (particularly men) is they are smaller and dissipate heat better. I think FLangan is too big for ar ace like this.
PS. While I'm calling I also believe in the reverse jinx. i'm on a baltimore orioles forum and it's best to say bad things and then only be proven wrong.
Shalane still looks as good as anyone in the pack

Gotta love that she's the only competitor actually wearing shorts (as opposed to panties). Goin' old-school!!!
The Belarusian is coached by Shobukhova. I think that has been posted but not sure.
USA winning this if we were to team score it? I think so!
Desi will bring a lot of people back. Watch

She and the Hansons think she is just beating the system though and outsmarting everyone by running even splits. Sure, she might be 6th up to even 3rd. But she won't win the race because that just isn't the way to win a major marathon championship.
I agree with you 100%. It'd be interesting to see what happens if she matched moves and gave herself a chance to be w the leader in the last few miles.
Still impressive that her patience seems to be paying off as their gap on her ia dropping again...

Why are the US running panties so shiny?
they pour water on them

Desi is closing!
Yes she is!
Steve Cram says the last mile was just 5:37. That may be why LInden is catching up.
Steve cram should finally shut up about Desi pacing . Go get them Desi
