Can't. Not from bridgewater. I don't arouse myself. One of my very limited flaws.
um, could we maybe get back to talking about actual track?
Ian LaMere entered in the 10k at Stanford next weekend...that's exciting.
I thought Bijan said he was running Stanford too? Injury?
Bijan doesn't need to fly across the country for a 10K - he can run at Princeton or Penn and get the same quality of race.
Here is a recent picture of Bichon training.
UW-Platteville doesn't have a huge budget so I'm assuming Ian is ready to run fairly fast otherwise they won't spend that amount of money to fly him out there.
Who know though, maybe he paid his own way out there. Is that even allowed by the NCAA?

LaMere is not running for Platteville this season, right? I thought he was doing a co-op this semester?
He's back on Platteville's roster for outdoors. He skipped indoors just so he can have all 3 seasons next year.
As for whether it would be allowed for him to pay his own way out to Stanford, why wouldn't it be? I doubt that's what's happening though. Platteville can come up with the money to send him to the type of race that he needs. It's probably only marginally more expensive than taking him to Hillsdale, Michigan like they did the past two years anyways.

Part of this is true, he's back on the roster, but he was on co-op...at least that's what he told my friend when he ran in to him running in Madison.
Did LaMere race at all indoor besides
Warren Bowlus, 1/30
3k-8:23, behind thorson and the gluten free kid that went to WashU
UWP Last chance, 03/04
3k-8:29
5k-14:48
Can't help but feel it bodes well for him to not have to worry about running an indoor season. He'll be coming into the outdoor season under raced, but who knows how much that really matters at this level. Also, is he planning on using his 5th season at platteville, or might he graduate and move on to a di or dii team for a year?
Should be interesting wrote:

He also raced at the UWP invite on 2/13.
Unlikely. Penn and Princeton were both won in around his PR last year. Not a lot of meets still have quality 10ks these days. I guess we will have to wait until outdoor natties to see him and Lamere go at it again.
quick question... why does it say bijan threw the jav on his tfrrs? wtf was this kid thinking?!?!?
anything to try to pick up a few points in the Little Three 'ship
Looks like he threw jav in highschool too. And was equally terrible
When are the UW schools opening up their outdoor seasons?
Word has it (aka I heard from Jeff Stiles) that Rickets from WUSTL will be running primarily the 1500 and Clark the 5000. Guess indoor was too short for these athletes. Should have preliminary marks in the next 2 weeks.
Ashton May, April 9th for many, but in truth when it is no longer 35 with 30mph wind gusts in this god-forsaken tundra.
Interesting info on the Wash. U guys given that they've never dabbled at a distance longer than what they currently run. Hope their speed isn't gone if it ends up not working out.
