Are you jealous because they dont have to buy there team??
Aldershot are by far the best team in the relays that doesn't pay all its runners!
I would'nt say they are by far the best team in the relays that doesnt pay all its runners! There are teams like Bedford who beat AFD most years at both the 12 stage relays.
There are very few clubs who pay there runners and AFD are not always in the top 5 at any of the relays so its difficult for you to claim this!
AFD won the 12 stage in 2004 didnt they? Lots of athletes.
To name a few:
Moreau
Vernon
Thompson
F Thompson
Ashton
Ablitt
Vint
Robinson
Mashford
Stopher
Quinn
Bolt
Sheppard
Ellis
Shinnie
Boucher
McCarthy
Woods
Decent 3 x 6 stage teams there for 6 stage - imagine first b team?

Hear, hear!
I applaud you sir or madam. There is no need for sloppy spelling, grammar, nor syntax. What is the world coming to? Should that be: to what is the world coming?
Grow up!!
Over the past six years Belgrave seem to have done pretty well at these relay things and they don't pay their runners. Unless of course there is some big conspiracy and none of us have actually been told about it.
I've heard Birchfield are getting their Kenyans out for this one, could they be a team to watch out for?
The world would be a poorer place without effective communication. You are destroying it.If the sloppiness of your spelling and grammar is a reflection of your lifestyle and running career, then it's no wonder we struggle to beat the rest of europe and the world.
Tube!!!
I've heard a rumour the Belgrave teams are:
A
Mark Miles
Martin Dent
Andrew Graffin
Steve Sharp
Dave Anderson
Justin Chaston
B
Jon Blackledge
Phil Wicks
Paul Freary
Richard Ward
Simon Jones
Allen Graffin

This is 2006 not 1996.
P.S. Wardy you know you get paid if you win so don't lie.
If thats the case then why was your team manager quoted in AW a couple of years ago saying that the team was on a 'win cash bonus', you are a bunch of mercenaries, how many club nights do you have? Do you even know where your club house is? What were your reasons for joining Belgrave?
Go Alty.
what happened to the Graffin boys? Did they retire or something?

I don't really know too much about the win cash bonus, so I don't want to comment officially, but my understanding is that it has come from our sponsor rather than Belgrave. I'm not sure it's fair to label us mercenaries because of this. While it is great to get it and I'm very greatful for it, the amount certainly wouldn't be enough for runners to join the club.
I know some people like to hate Belgrave because of the success we've had, but the truth of the matter is we're just like many other clubs. I have lots of good friends in Belgrave and although I can't see them that often because I'm at uni in Cambridge, we keep in regular Email and text contact. It's not unusual to get 20 Emails a week from the likes of Dave and Sharpy.
In answer to your other questions there are club nights every week, again I don't go because I live in Cambridge, but plenty of others do. Our club house, Belgrave Hall, is just near Wimbledon common, I was last there about 2 months ago for the reason mentioned above.
And lastly apart from the Porche and the 50 grand my reasons for joining Belgrave were that the mens section in my old club folded and my home address was only around 6 miles from Belgrave Hall. I was attracted by the prospect of British league competition, but at the time they were still emerging as a road club and hadn't won a national road medal since 1969.
Now stop your whining and your bitching, stop worrying about us and focus on your own running and club! Who is that by the way? I see you can criticise, but don't have the balls to use your own name. Aren't you the big man!

They ran off and joined a travelling circus. Allen now tames lions, while Andrew works mainly on the trapeeze, although a recent wrist problem has led to him doing more high wire work.
well said Wardy. i would like to add me and DA have been on many nights out and can normally be found in reflex gay bar in watford in the pole dancing area. join in of your gay enough!!!!!!!!
whoops, that was "join in IF your gay enough"
I'm not surprised that you've taken to wiggling your arse down at the gay bar, 8 years with Maria is enough to any hetro into a homo.
