Unwise comment by the FCC chair notwithstanding, the FCC does not have the authority to dictate firing decisions to private companies. There is a procedure outlined here:

Anyone who has a complaint must first direct it to the broadcaster. If they are not satisfied, then and only then can they file a complaint with the FCC. The FCC then has two options if the complaint is deemed valid: 1) fine the company, 2) revoke its license.

The best, most recent example of FCC doing so is the heavy fine it levied toward Infinity Broadcasting ($2.5 million) for hosting crude content when it aired the Howard Stern Show, back in the days before he moved to satellite radio:

It’s a huge win that our culture is turning towards good. Starting to remove the liars like Jimmy Kimmel. A couple years ago the culture was and still is to some extent held hostage by people on the left.
