Minor infractions in other sports do not lead to disqualification from the entire contest; yet in our sport; it does. This is one reason why people outside our sport have difficult connecting; it doesn't follow the logic used in other sports.
I say the rules need adjustments. Let's consider time penalties for minor infractions; moderate level infractions get more time added.
