Regarding Bill Gates and his liability with SafeSport, what would be the difference between him and Donald Trump?

Larry Nassar was an extreme case. What was most bizarre was how he molested children while their mothers were present. Their excuse was the fear that their children wouldn’t be able to practice with the team. It’s sick. Maybe the mothers should face charges like the Oxford shooter’s parents.
The reason I’m inclined to be suspicious of SafeSport in this case is because there’s no police report. SafeSport is notorious for working around the legal system and the police.

Safe Sport does not provide due process. It’s not a court of law. For example, there is no cross examination of witnesses. There is no statute of limitations. The arbitrators do not have law degrees. The accused cannot defend himself.
Here’s a tragic story:
https://amp.kansascity.com/news/local/article226196295.htmlYou absolutely can defend yourself.
Many would say it looks like a mentally ill man abused people, and then killed himself in the throes of mental illness exacerbated by consequences of his actions.
Tragic indeed.

I understand your point but it’s much more than just losing his job. Plus, this is a quasi government organization. It was created and funded by Congress . It needs to have more transparency imo. But we all agree Salazar could coach people individually right?
Created and funded by Congress - yes, democracy in action. Also their code, including a detailed description of this process, including the arbitration and the definition of sexual misconduct, is available to the public, just a simple click away.
And yes, more transparency is (almost) always better.
But let's not forget, again, that SafeSport decision to ban this creep for life was upheld in independent arbitration (see for example the NYT article you read).
Finally yes, Salazar could even live in Amsterdam and train Hassan and Koko, or in Vancouver and train Cam etc., once his ban for his three doping infractions is over.
I doubt Levins would go near Salazar, who nearly ruined his career making him run through injury until surgery was needed (pacing Rupp of course).
Correct Aloha. And lets stop the political connections here. I am arguing AGAINST secret tribunals as they apply to professional athletes and coaches with legally binding contracts, and I am not a right winger or conservative. SafeSport was set up in the correct spirit of the time. How their system got applied here to professional adults is the problem. The victim in this situation should have quit the NOP immediately, and then utilized their rights as an American, with every tool in the American legal system to sue or approach law enforcement. Adults should do that. Using SafeSport is simply a very cheap and unfair way to avoid utilizing our legal system. Just destroy a person's career instead, quickly. So satisfying.

Nothing is clear, sorry.
Was this an offense against a minor, or adult?
If offense was against a minor, why were no charges filed?
If offense was against an adult, how can you end someone's right to earn a living for a non-criminal offense? No one else in America is subject to this BS.
Yeah, the world has changed. Are you saying men accused of misbehavior by women have less rights than anyone else in America?
You sound like a red pill misogynist. Again, based on pages 8-11 of their description of sexual misconduct, what we have heard from Cain, Yoda, and Kara, all clearly fits that definition.
Are you being obtuse or did you not bother to read it before screaming about poor men?

What??
No one else??
I am a doctor. If I said the things Salazar said, to a patient, I would expect to lose my license.
Didn't Salazar admit to giving his own son PED's/banned substances?
Defending Salazar at this point is pure idiocy.

Man nothing gets Incels fired up like a man being told there are consequences for bad behavior.
When an illegitimate and packed SCOTUS over turns Roe because some religious fanatics want to take rights away from women come talk to me about GOP rule and kangaroo courts.

If that why 80% of Americans are fat and obese? Because you are too afraid to say what is true? Why are you as a doctor causing harm by enabling obesity by not speaking up to your patients? The truth is often not roses and honey.

Alberto was encouraging an already underweight teenage girl to lose more weight. Don’t be dense.

Salazar rubbed Androgel cream on him as part of a controlled test.
Its use was permissable as he was not an athlete and its application was not dangerous.
The cream is not banned from public use, rather its use is banned from competition by WADA, except with a TUE.
Why does the front page still say we don't know why a "legend" was banned? He was banned for sexual misconduct. Stop promoting this abuser.

By this logic, being guilty of one accusation makes you guilty of every other accusation that anyone throws out there.
Very few trust the findings of a secret tribunal set up to protect minors in amateur sports. The headline is accurate.
These are all grown adults who utilized professional contracts.
Taking away the man's career was not due to creams, gels or infusions. That one has been litigated already.

Salazar was given repeat opportunities to present his case and - despite his seemingly unlimited legal resources via Nike - he failed on both occasions.
Several posters seem to presume that Nike is involved in Salazar's legal defense. Maybe this was the case early on, but it seems clear that Nike has severed ties with Salazar. Their latest statement emphasizes that point. Salazar is on his own in defending himself.
No doctor in America would lose their license telling a patient she or he is fat and needs to lose weight.

Guess what. When Roe is "overturned" all the blue states will instantly make abortion legal as will be their right. The vast majority of the ignorant kvetchers about Roe live in states where abortion will remain legal no matter what.
