The 370 day of training phase II.30mwp + 20mhc + 58mcd =108 minutes. This is after P90X chest, shoulders and Triceps exercises early morning exercise. Now I feel so tired.Today I'm receiving high school athletes from Texas for one week RonoRun Hill Training Camp.
I'm tired now going to take a cat nap.

Henry,
I think you're missing the point somewhat. Most of the followers of this thread - myself included - care less about your short-term race results, and more that you have turned your life around and are now being an ambassador for the sport.
Telling your story, not racing, is what will help you financially. Take zatopek's advice. People won't forget you if you take a few months off racing. I know how precious your running is to you. Don't let an injury rob you of your new-found joy.
Dave
Dave I came to Nashville for one condition to appear and sign autographs for $500.That is why I was in the news that I will be in Nashville on June 2,2007.The people in Nashville treated me as a famous hero. I came there for that purpose. They didn't expect me to brake one mile world record on June 2,07, Saturday night right.
I believe the meet director is matured enough to know the differences.Unless the meet directors is playing tricks on me.

Hello, Henry! Thanks for the updates on your training. I glad to hear that you're feeling good... keep it up!
By the way... do you have any races in the near future?
I guess your camp starts tomorrow... good luck! I hope you're not too busy to keep up with this thread.
Have a great day!
Henry's 29 year old 8:12 steeplechase track record was finally broken today at the Pre Classic. I saw Henry run that race to win the NCAA championships back in 1978.

Next month by July 15,2007.By now the price, I don't know yet;however, people think, I should sell my book between $24-30 because of so many photos that might take 25 pages and the text is 175 pages. The book company is finalizing the cost of the book by the end of this month.
Tell me what price my book should be?Let us vote for 'Olympic Dream'book by Henry Rono.
I want the book to be out the day when I'm hitting good times on the race, but no as lately races.I'm getting there.

I just noticed a full page ad in the L.A. Times today for the "Summer National Senior Games" (50 and over), that is taking place in Louisville, Kentucky, from June 22-July 8. They are expecting 12,000 athletes over 50, to compete in an Olympic-style format. (not just track).
Are you competing in this ?

I might it is up to stars in the sky to let me know if I can or not.I want to, but I can't force the nature of Henry Rono.

He can't. You have to have qualified by placing in one of the State Senior Games championships.
http://www.nsga.com/events.htmlGhost,
What are your credentials?
You and others are dispensing advice to one of the greatest runners of all time. Stop it.
His volumes are excellent. Human physiology hasn't changed recently or in thousands of years.
Take Peter Snell for instance. Lydiard trained him to run a fine marathon on a higher volume of running. Snell owned 800m world records and Olympic Gold, like Henry.
Henry is building a foundation, which is required, before putting on the icing, which is speedwork and other phased in forms of training.
It's the volume that creates the base, developing capillary beds and re-invigorating capillary beds and grows the heart muscle, so one can transport and utilize more oxygenated blood.
Stop advising Henry Rono on running. Would you advise Pele on soccer, Gretzky on hockey, Nash on basketball, Pavarati on singing? Hope the hell not.
I respectfully submit that Henry is training a different body now, and that if the advice is given with respect, he might find something which will help him continue improving or avoid trouble. Besides, Henry is always learning and asking for input. "What do you think?" is one of his most-used phrases.

"Pavarotti."
And as the poster above stated, Henry often asks for input... whether he listens to it or not, is entirely up to him.
But I have to agree with your main point, and it's something I said on the previous page: Henry has to R-U-N, and nobody knows what Henry needs to do to get to where he wants to be better than Henry.
By the way, Henry, how is the camp going? Today eas the second day, wasn't it?

The second day for the sixteen year-old in high altitude makes alot of differences. They were so very quiet today after training,I told them you guys are listening to your feelings now like an animal so to speak. You are catching up with running feels.
I believe they were very sore after climbing copper hill. What is in your mind?

you are a sycophant, my friend, (look it up). Anybody but a kool-aid drinker would realize that 'somethings not right with this picture' when a guy is running 100 miles a week for months on end and doing some 3 and 4 hour runs; and is still 25 lbs. overweight? How many people could even do that type of training without a 25 lb. anchor on their belly, without getting injured? On 55 year old knees? I think Henry is having a good laugh at guys like you.
