That is what is called a procedural vote. It is not the same a a confirmation vote, which can only proceed if McConnell decides ask for a vote while he is short of people. It would 50 Repubs and 49 Dems voting. One Repub switch permanently kills the nomination--50 no to 49 yes. There is no tie for Pence to break. Got it?

I said previously the most direct places of Kavanaugh's testimony that bugged me where he possibly lied were his descriptions of Devil's Triangle and Boofing. Now his classmates have backed up his claim that Devil's Triangle was a drinking game.
