Joe is one of the best coaches in the country, but even at Butler relied on foreign athletes. He would have to change his tune a bit to fit at Stanford. Not that it wouldn't be hard, recruiting to Stanford is much easier than Indy or ABQ. But being at a power 5 he would also give up a lot of the freedom he has had in his career, and job security would be low at a place like Stanford. He's also not had to deal with the academic stresses of a high level university. He does knows how to put on a great meet, look what he's done with Bryan Clay. I think he would continue on what Miltenberg built at Stanford, nothing crazy, safe hire.
Good thing for joe, Stanford can still go after some UK/Aussie types that he loves anyways. Stanford is better off just going after US talent simply because it can. Hiring a foreign based coach to a school like Stanford feels like a bad marriage.

Yeah I can actually roll with this. Grinnell voounteered with Petros in 2012 or so.. produced nothing at WSU, and now has a job at one of the best programs in the country. It’s not about what you do, it’s about who you know. So let’s all keep networking.

Define dues? And explain why bad coaches who haven’t get hired? Like I said many good coaches out there pay their dues for years with success but get nothing to show for it as far as big jobs go. Dues does not equal big job. So stop perpetuating the myth of it.
