What is Harliss going to do now that he has been let go? I don't think anyone has a bad thing to say about him as a person, great guy, has been part of some great programs at FSU and has had some success at UNC with individual athletes. He probably deserves to land at another power 5. Wake? UT if BAS leaves? Just curious.
Brooks Johnson has mellowed out with age. He can take Gabe under his wing and mentor him. It would be a great dynamic for Stanford.

Who knows whether she's a bad person? My guess is, just like all of us, she's got her good and bad qualities. But dropping a kid she evaluates as not worthy is not unethical. Its regrettable but keeping kids she doesn't believe she can win with results in her getting fired. Her mandate is to win and if UTK felt she was too harsh they wouldn't have approved dropping the kids (and you can believe they did sign off on the moves). As to the other poster's question did she replace the bad kids with better kids--Nope, doesn't look like it. But inability to recruit/develop is a different discussion from whether the move to drop the Morgan Harveys was right. It was.
What made BAS’s actions unethical was that they violated the first canon of the USTFCCCA code of ethics, any mention of which is conspicuously lacking from your argument. BAS was a former president of the association. She of anyone should know that the reason there is a code of ethics is precisely because coaches can be intimidated by athletic administrators who elevate winning over the welfare of the athletes.
So, the fact that the UT administration (who are not subject to that code of ethics) signed off on her unethical actions does not in any way make them ethical.
Like you, I have no opinion as to whether BAS is a “good” or “bad” person. Unlike you I am not offering any opinion as to whether her actions, as to any particular athlete, were “right” or “wrong.” But according to the first canon of the USTFCCCA code of ethics her actions were unethical, and since she is a former president of the organization whose ethical standards she failed to uphold, she is a hypocrite and a disgrace.

Well to be fair he is from Grand Blanc which is 31 miles from Frankenmuth and it’s a holiday, so could have been home for the Holiday. But I agree he is a good candidate. Also curious to how many jobs this will be, up until last fall there had been 2 XC coaches for a while.
And to those who say who cares about D2, knock it off, this thread is for coaching jobs and these are coaching jobs.

List don’t sound right. Ridgeway left Harvard to follow his wife’s career. Can believe app state needing to be female just like let bad hire. Abe Flores is going nowhere dude almost died. USF my guess is it will be a minority/female

Abe Flores? He’s been out on disability from his job at Monmouth for about 18 months after several surgeries. Pretty sure he’s not even on the East Coast for his rehab.
I hope he’s doing better but I am pretty sure he’s not ready to come back to coaching yet.
