Yes, Eaton grabbed back the lead after 5 events.
However, Eaton was 1.30 away from his PB at 400m, as compared to 0.93 for Taiwo (who basically blew his chance for a the decathlon victory as a result of his performance at 400m. He needed to PB) and 0.26 for Ziemek.
Since Eaton is off form. You can expect him to be far away from his PB in day 2 also. Obviously, unlike Ziemek and Taiwo, Eaton did not have to peak for this meet.
Eaton set an OT decathlon 400m best. I don't know where your fantasy is coming from that this is remotely a competition.
