Powell is a freakin' quitter - I hate that guy. He quits every race he can't win and only runs well in little meets that don't matter where no one else shows up. Show some HEART and grow a PAIR!
Nice run by Tyson - I guess groin is ok.
Some cute LJers.
Target javelin yay!

seriously -- that Russian is smoking hot. She can't jump out of her own shadow, but the camera loves her..

Absolutely. They were popular when we moved to Florida in 1979, and I was 6 years old. We used to play all the time, and we'd lob them way up into the air.
They eventually banned them after a few incidents where people had been drinking and chucked them over their neighbor's fence, right into their neighbor's skull.
jarts were the best!
Sanya would have destroyed this 400m field.

Wind in the 100 meter!
A fall in the steeple, but not over a barrier. How disappointing.

you like looking at men as much as you like looking at women? ;-)
Seriously, though. I like HD. I like super-slo-mo. But do I really have to endure the sight of Asafa's Powell's junk free flopping around on those head-on 100m camera angles.
The Swede has fallen!!!
Mustafa Mohammed went down on a barrier!
I was only half-paying attention, hopefully I can find a replay somewhere.
youch.
NASTY spike marks on Mohammed, hear his trail knee. He hit the barrier with his lead leg (didn't bring his leg up high enough).
Ew and ow... poor guy. Amazing he finished.
Is there a working results page?
Precision javelin kicks ass!!!!
I feel bad for the dude(s!) who fell in the steeple. And WOW does the U.S. suck at that event.
Did the steeple pacemaker ever drop out? Looked like he was just jogging and chillin' for awhile.
Interesint bouquets for the diamond presentations.
