She would be a 6th year if she does. Graduated in 2020. So redshirt 2020, ran one race 2021 and full seasons 2022, 2023 and 2024
Point of clarification … the 2020 XC season and the belated NCAA Championship run in March 2021 can be completely ignored for eligibility purposes. You don’t have to call it anything … the 2020 XC season doesn’t count.
I do agree that Elmore will need a medical waiver for the 2021 season after running in an Oregon kit in the B Race at Nuttycombe in October 2021 and only that race. Provided the paperwork was filed correctly, this waiver is a slam dunk.

Thanks for the update. Maybe she could not make a solid argument that an injury ended her XC participation in the Fall of 2021.
Of the 9 Oregon women at Nuttycombe in 2024 (1 ran in B race), they get back everyone but their #8, Harper McClain. Of their 12 runners at the 2024 B1G XC Championships, which they won handily, they lose their #2 Elmore, #4 Kazimierska, #9 Ella Nelson and #12 Harper McClain. Of their 7 runners at the NCAA Championships (where they finished 5th), they lose their #2 Elmore and #4 Kazimierska.
Kate Peters is also gone (after never racing) and the Freshman Isabel Conde de Frankenburg transferred back home to TAMU, but otherwise the roster is pretty much back and Oregon should (on paper) contend for the title.

I agree they have potential to be very strong, with #11, 15, 32 returners and added Cherotich who would appear to be likely top 20, and also have Barnett and Ince who are better than they showed in Madison.
