Watch the video it is up on youtube now, Hurta had moved into lane 1 and established herself. Green cut in on her when she didn't have a stride advantage and Hurta ate track. Don't think it was intentional but think that if anyone is moving on it should be Hurta
Hurta "established" herself? She had just moved inside 1 second before. And Green had no idea she was there.
Trying to pass someone on the inside on a turn is always a very risky move.
In any case, the officials went over and over it for about an hour, and decided that Hurta was at fault, not Green.
Yeah I would call it established herself, she took by my count 6-7 strides in lane 1 before she was cut off. Green not knowing she was there is no excuse. Of course passing on the inside is risky but she tripped on the homestretch, Green was likely looking to do the same thing and try to pass someone on the inside or shut the lane down from anyone passing her but she didn't have the room to do so.
I would love to hear the official explanation for this decision because it just doesn't make any sense to me after watching it live and on replay multiple times
