Funny release. Rahn Sheffield didn't coach at UCD in 2013 and was an assistant in 2014 but somehow got credit for conference titles those year. He must have been really good!

The thing that bothers me about some women in these roles is they seem to exude this body language that they’re trying too hard to prove something. It’s like that kid you tell to Ice bath at the waist for 10 min and you see them neck deep for 25 minutes. Idk it’s just one of those things where they’re trying to much and it sets them up to look foolish when their team isn’t the best team in the conference. Being a middle of the conference team in the SEC(Tennessee) is pretty solid, as South Carolina and I believe auburn finished behind them on both sides but those coaches don’t walk around with that nose in the air I think I’m better than you energy. Women, just do you, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone!

Why do people keep bringing up Mike McGuire? Does he hate Michigan or something? No chance he leaves Michigan. He's retiring there.

He interviews at every good position each year to get raises at Michigan, that is a big part of why he is paid so well there.

Well that’s not true about McGuire. He’s not even the highest paid coach on the staff.

Probably means ihmels or franklin. Unless they can convince an assistant to stay and be head.

Job posting says they are combining XC and track like when Dolan ran UCSBs program. Sounds like only one will be head coach. Any outside applicants? Or just the current two interim coaches?

All that I can confirm is that Horn is not returning, but not sure why. Seems like the job belongs to Darius Terry.

No disrespect to Terry or Horn But they are not realistic candidates with the plethora of quality and experienced coaches out there willing and ready to move up to this head job.

Combined they have what 7-8 years of coaching experience together?

UCSB can’t be seriously considering these guys.
