2019 College Track & Field Open Coaching Positions Discussion

University of Chicago at Illinois is looking for assistants. Most likely volunteer though.

Saw a Facebook post in one of the cross country groups that states just that. They are looking for a full host of assistant coaches for volunteer positions.

Being told that its going to be someone from the GLVC that gets Saginaw... Pence, Kearney, Moreno? Moreno would make most sense since hes coached in that area and isn't employed. If its Pence or Kearney then UIS or Lewis will be open!

Someone with actual sources (me!) can tell you Kughn is the from runner at this point. Posting will be up next week after the 4th. Cowan has not looked into any of these GLVC guys

Moreno? I doubt SV wants to replicate the job he did at Northwood. They can do much better.

Any real insight as to who's interviewed at Stanford?

Seen a lot of names thrown around, but any insider info?

Don’t know why so many people are doubting this. It’s not a secret that he had conversations with Oregon last year and that was to be the assistant track coach/head cross country. This is a director job at one of the top 3 traditional distance schools in the country. So if he entertained the idea of leaving flagstaff last year why wouldn’t he entertain this?

LSU will announce in the next couple of days that they are looking for a new distance coach.
