clinging to the false claim that's it's only as bad as the flu just makes you look very very desperate.
remember:
21,000> 41 !!!!!!!
Is he wrong again?
Is he ever right?
What’s the best doltish number to ridicule him with? 61,001 or 21,000?

I said I would not apologize for rantings because I don't rant. Learn to read. I also already said I was wrong in the other thread. I was wrong about the coronavirus not being as deadly as the flu. I now fully accept that the coronavirus is as deadly as the flu. Feel free to panic as much as you like.
It would be great if we could get past the “right/wrong” take on this.
I really am trying to understand your perspective and I’m not just discounting out of hand what is said.
But No one is gloating about deaths to further their own argument. A number of times I’ve responded to you Facts Matter you’ve replied with “so you’re saying .....” and it isn’t even close to what I’m saying. So maybe we are reading what we want to into what people are saying without really understanding their reasoning and purpose.
But this isn’t an argument of semantics.
I just wonder if you can now see that this is as deadly as the flu, is it possible that it’s deadlier than the flu? Will the next few weeks show that? It’s such a moving, dynamic target. With hindsight, we can make a lot of claims but 2 months ago we didn’t have the data and experience we have now.
What if countries ignored this and millions did die? That was always a possibility, no matter what numbers you quote. There was nothing in any data anywhere 2 months ago that said this wasn’t a major worldwide health issue.
I think part of the issue on this board in particular is that you live in a country with an ineffective leader - that’s not a personal attack, but a fact - he divides rather than unites people. He has left it to each state to decide what to do, so that he is blameless, fueled the fire of dissent amongst those without the knowledge or education to make informed decisions, and the misinformation and exaggeration of both sides of the argument have lead to serious social issues.
In countries with strong leaders who have bi-passed making decisions based along political lines and rather based on medical evidence and expertise we are seeing a much more cohesive and positive approach to the pandemic. Clear communications in relation lockdowns, how long, how we might begin to move forward, how individuals and businesses can be supported to best manoeuvre these times - this has meant communities are better informed and willing to support the measures in their areas.
At the end of the day, pragmatically speaking, I just can’t believe that 150 + countries have stuffed up totally and made far reaching decisions based on false data and unethical medical and public health officials. It just doesn’t cut the reasonableness test. Could some communities have unethical self serving politicians and medical officials - of course. Could some COVID measures taken - in hindsight- in some areas have been overkill - it’s quite possible. But for every argument against the measures, in a level headed, cohesive community you can easily argue back the advantages.

61,001 dolt ???
You’re a joke figure on here.
But everyone knows they are adding deaths. Colorado silently added close to 200 last weekend. There was a tiny blurb in the news about the powers at large went back and added possible deaths as covid. So if the CDC is admitting to adding numbers then how do you say with certainty that facts matter is incorrect? He's probably dead on but for some weird reason people are enjoying this. People love to be told what to do so they don't have to think for themselves. Like all the people in the twin towers that were told to hold still. Facts matter ran for the stairs. You bunch are literally sitting ducks and on some intuitive level you know it. That is why you hate the deniers. They remind you of your own inability to think and make decisions for yourself. My mommy told me that I must eat my meat. I must eat my meat. I hate meat. I must eat my meat. My mommy told me so

I appreciate now that you've been proven categorically wrong you might be hiding your 'identity', but when you genuinely believed you were right, why were you too ashamed to even use your normal registered name?
