He has 2 years to think about it. Hopefully for him he can get it back dated. That seems to be the strategy.
One thing always surprises me in these missed test cases. Why doesn't the defense provide all the former testing schedules that the athlete met?
How many times was he actually tested and when? Is there a calculation that predicts the testing veracity of positives in the system? Can it be shown that a missed test really predicts doping?
Otherwise this is just an administrative gotcha. I am talking mainly out of season. Short term boosters are of now importance between seasons.

Sadly that this repeat offender got his ban reduced because he was within a few miles of his home during the last missed test, instead of being in his home. Strange rule interpretation.
And sadly he did not get punished for his tampering, although that was proven by his very own receipts.
