Ato Boldon saying Athing Mu is the only person who can handle Keely in her form was one of the funniest things I've heard in a while.
She’s in really good form but she got 3rd last year because others can throw her race plan. Mary Moraa has consistently given her fits. Even if it kills her own race it brings in the Odiras and possibly the younger Moraa who have big kicks.
or maybe the part where she was injured most of the season.
I was as nervous watching that as if I was his freakin mother!
That was so awesome!
Yup. To borrow from other sports parlance, this was as ethical an indoor 800m title as you’ll ever see. Did Cooper contact anyone in a tactical 800? His passes on Bol/Cresrand and his two times holding off Crestans surges were completely pristine. No contact just outran them. No veering out at the end, no argy-bargy, questionable inside passes. When you see Attaoui bouncing off guys and zigzagging all over the place, it’s a different world. Kid is ridiculously good, I think he had 1 more desperate gear if he’d needed it.
The one thing I'd worry about, seeing a replay from the front, is that he seemed to be looking around quite a bit in the last 50m or so (unless I'm mistaken and they cut in footage from previous laps). I can imagine an alternate world where that cost him.
Are the announcers unaware that Athing Mu is no longer running?
They’re just angry Keeley handled Werro, tbh. It’s the only way they can lash out right, by hoping to create some doubt. Mu would’ve handled Keeley by tripping her and Werro and Wiley.

I think she got third last year as she was coming back from injury. She really was out most of the season.
Mary did used to spook her and mess with her tactics for sure. But she eventually worked her out and basically worked harder and become fitter.
Odira looked pretty spectacular last year for the champs but we’ve yet to see her again this year? So she is one unknown and could be a threat. But we haven’t seen enough to know for sure.
The scary thing about Cooper’s win is that he won because he had better tactics than everyone else in the race. He’s 17!
People really need to stop using the word "tactics" on here. He was just better than everyone, 90% of the races the person who wins is just the best runner.

Maybe if you have a half fit Keely like in Tokyo yes you have a point. I just hope Keely can have an injury free season and then we can see what she can really do.
Just checking the 60m hurdles records after charltons run. Oceania male and female 60h record is equal. Is there any other record where the men and women are the same?

It’s possible that was the case, but her side more framed it as she was raw tactically from few races. So rusty physically or tactically. Either way I think basically any 800m runner can be vulnerable against someone like Moraa who can sprint a 26 and then slow to a crawl, fight you off, tempt you with the cheese (inside pass). This is why Wanyonyi and Rudisha before him went to the front. Keely doesn’t want to run a 26-low to do so it seems and that means not getting caught up with Moraas race style. I think she can do it but Odira/the younger Moraa run from the back and favor a smoothly-paced race and they can really benefit from any Keely mistakes.

Smart note.
This guy knows track! ^
You’re answering yourself, commenting on your own post. Keeley got third because she was coming off injury and had barely races going into the WCs. Something you conveniently leave out but are no doubt well aware off.
