So did Aelo Curtis also just burn her eligibility? She ran against collegians last night at the Bob Larsen meet at UCLA (and ran 4:19 for 1500m).
Micah Dikran also ran in the meet.
Is there any good reason for this rule? I never understood it's justification. Surely in the age of NIL we can have high schoolers racing against collegians now, right?
Daily dropped 32 dude. She raced 16. Dropped 32 keeping san diego ladies out of deserving spot. Then post season dropped out of multiple races. Do yer research scooter.
Anyone else notice the 3:00 4x400M ran by El Cerrito? I'm 99% positive it's a timing mistake, because they're all slow 800/milers, but still kinda funny
Combe 2:04 800 at the Ten tonight. Her teammate ran 2:07.
Combe might be able to win the 1600, 800 double at state. (There is 90 minutes between those 2 finals.) Except I'm guessing that Combe will probably run the 4x8 instead.

She DNF'd the 3200. If you watch last years 3200 state final on HD runners you see her dropping out at on the turn before the end of the 7th lap.
Attached is last years results. DNF next to her name.
She ran 69.20,69.03,69.03. I thought she would close in 62 and run sub 4:30, but she is human and closed in 72 and change.
I can't wait for post race interview. She'll tell us if she was gassed from the 800 or she just cruised the last lap.
She said she basically rolled the dice on the 1600. The lights at 66 on the final lap got away from her. Amazing double after that 2:04 800. She's definitely made a National statement since winning NB Grand Prix, Nike Nationals and is now #1 in the country in the 800, #1 in the 1600 and #2 in the 3200. Pretty special stuff we're seeing from her, and she doesn't quite get as much hype as she deserves.
Neither Curtis nor Engelhardt ran for Ventura to finish their high school careers. Stinks for them and the high school.
And Lex and Leo for Newbury. That makes 3 Newbury Park boys and 2 Ventura girls
I think it depends on the athlete. It seems that the Big Bear Track Club kids tend to run Unattached in Track. Lex & Leo were probably chasing times. Appears Micah Dickran came back the next day after the UCLA 1500M and ran a solid 800M at USC:
