I would say Europe. There'd be French and Spanish influencers that we barely hear about on these boards. Maybe even Norwegian ones. Plus there's a fair swag of UK ones to begin with.

Norway has some really good running podcasters, like Kristian Ulriksen and Sindre Burås, these podcasters seem to have more integrity, knowledge and experience than US/UK tubers but they still go through most of same tribulations as their screen colleagues
My problem with the whole ShoeTube industry is they accept things of value (race bibs they otherwise wouldn't get, free travel) then never disclose it in subsequent reviews. I think it's against US regulations (and that US law would apply if someone accepted free travel to the US from a shoe company and didn't disclose it in subsequent reviews which were viewed in the US). But, at best, the Federal Trade Commission will warn the shoefluencers. It's really like nails on a chalk board when Believe in the Run says, "we don't take money for reviews." Cash, sure. But that's not the only thing that has to be disclosed. And the value of their free travel has got to be well into the five figures, if not six figures. We know Asics sent them to Eugene and we know Eugene isn't cheap. We know New Balance sent them to New York, and New York isn't cheap. We know Adidas sent them to Boston and Boston isn't cheap.
I think the notion that the only thing they have to disclose is the shoe itself is absolutely ridiculous (this goes for Kofuzi too, he's allegedly a lawyer and should know better!). Free travel is worth well, well more than shoes. If you have to disclose shoes, you have to disclose travel!!!
Theoretically, they're subject to a $50k fine for every instance of failure to disclose. In practice, at best they (and the shoe companies) will get a warning from the FTC of anybody complains.
Here's the relevant federal regulations on influencers:
As a marketing strategy, companies hire individuals with a large social media following to promote products through their personal accounts. Use this guide to research the business of influencer marketing, current issues and...
There should be plenty of fresh content when Boston and London marathons arrive.
I do wonder if BAA banned Kofuzi for violating their photography policy. A lot of people work really hard to run Boston. Having to dodge his selfie stuck must be annoying. Though not as annoying as Matt Choi and his whole film crew!
There's an exercise science PhD that posts YouTube reviews/critiques of celebrity personal trainer and lifting bro YouTube videos. It's decent content.
There's definitely a room on Youtube for someone to do this with Shoetube videos.
The socktuber looks to be dealing with burnout. Will he provide any updates on the demoor global store?
I'm pretty sure the store is dead. No reviews since the beginning of January... There is no more loyal fans to order anything.
What?! Surely there must be a constant demand for handmade looking coffee mugs and sublimated team wear? I thought he told his spouse that "THIS! This is the future."?

Yeah he was gonna support the channel and make"epic content" by selling gear.. now he's back to slinging shoe reviews.
Serious Runner, you post on here sometimes. What's your end game with youtube? Or are you just seriously bad at business?
I honestly just get enjoyment out of poking fun at the influencer-running brand cartel. I love working with Sage when I can. This really isn't about the money (though it is nice that Adsense and the book now cover the costs of the videos). I get the most joy from random people telling me "Long Live the BAA"
I want to use what I learn from this YouTube experience to launch an animated web series, self-publish a series of science fiction books, and ultimately produce a dark, gritty, violent sequel to the 1954 musical, White Christmas.
I am not interested in making it a full-time thing or going down the path of influencer with brand deals. If I were, I'd agree that I'm terrible at business. But I really don't want to do merch (I dabbled, it was horrible) or group runs or discords or any of that. If I could be behind the camera I would.
Thanks for watching! Tell your friends. I'm kinda close to 10K subs and we do love round numbers as runners.
