Yes. Rojo validated by Amos coming into form much to the dismay and horror of Jonathan Gault who will now have to listen to it forever.

What’s up with Morris? I remember her being head and shoulders above Nageotte just a couple years ago. Did Nageotte improve a lot or is Morris having a rough phase?
Poles never got to Monaco apparently.

I think both. Nageotte got better, morris not clearing the heights she used to.
He came through in 1:44 pace. Didn’t give himself a chance to run fast

No, that’s not how it works. If you hear the bell you shouldn’t have to confirm by looking at the time.
As a professional runner, you should be able to keep track of seven and a half laps, regardless of what the bell ringer does.
Most of the runners in the back knew that the bell was rung a lap early, which happens from time to time even in top level meets. Pro runners should be prepared for that possibility.
It's funny whenever Hassan runs I just expect a WR. I expect one today.

Well that would have been a good race for Murphy to 1:42, maybe a little hot through 400. Don't blame him for a 1:44.4 for 6th, I still think he's in the mix.
Also a great sign for Nijel Amos, his first 1:42 (honestly his first real race) since 2019.
12 men far to many in a 800m race. Don’t read too deeply into this one.

Morris is jumping on borrowed poles. Hers went missing on the trip over to Europe. That's a few levels of stress that could throw her off, not to mention how different the poles may be.
And Hoppel completely out of it? I guess we can chalk up too much racing for Rotich (who moved up well at least), Giles (you run 1:43i glued to the pacemaker…what was that nonsense in your PR chance?), Murphy (ran 25 flat at USAs…what is the futzing around). Can’t really excuse anyone else.
Time to take down Dibaba's clownworld record

No way he dopes when you believe in God that much.

Have you guys ever run a long race on the track? With 800 or 400 to go you can barely think straight... if you hearthe bell that will 100% override any internal counting you have going on.
Maybe in a 10k which is 25 laps.
The steeplechasers today were only 5.5 laps into a 7.5 lap race. That's not that hard to keep track of.

He’s striving to be the next Rudisha. He won’t stop till he gets there.
Anyone ever think some in society can’t count? Just a thought
The poles excuse is for today. She didn’t do well at Trials. Looks slower compared to previous years. Nageotte looks fast and is flying off the pole.

That broke my heart seeing the look on his face. That bell-ringer needs to be castigated and dismissed. I wish the announcers would call out that human error more severely.
Totally agree. Mistakes happen, but this guy had one job and messed it up. Did he not think that ringing the bell at 6 minutes was strange? Did he just really have to pee?
It’s all in the hands of ALLAH, , the great one above, says Mohamed Katir. This is destiny for Muslims. We have no reason to doubt him unless proven to the contrary.

Arop ran fantastic, held out till about 760m, that’s a Rudisha-esque feat when you consider the quality of field he was running against. Maybe too ambitious a run by him, but definitely an improvement. Would have loved to see him dip under 143.
