I asked the question because it appeared that all of the threads on the topic had been deleted, even when only one existed.

Since this is a new development, we will allow this thread to stay up. We've merged several threads into one, changed the title of the thread and have posted a picture of his facebook post in the first thread.
We wish Mike the best in his road to recovery. If a confession about his running misdeeds is part of that recovery, we'd be happy to facilitate in any way possible.

ike, it's great you've taken the first steps for repairing your life. That is a good thing and we hope you are already finding some relief in your life. I would like to offer these steps as a way to make good on past errors. We all make mistakes but not all are correctable. So trying here is important and necessary.
1. Admit your mistake of taking a shortcut to a BQ at Via. Give details if not photos. Contact the Via marathon race committee and the BAA with your admission and ask forgiveness. Perhaps start training for a real BQ - it will be hard work but possible without taking an easier course.
2. Sincerely and in detail apologize to the many people you consider "enemies". They didn't come to be that way naturally, it was mainly because of what happened in #1 above. You will find most people are very forgiving and you will find they were never enemies at all.
3. Give back to the community selflessly and anonymously. Find how differently good that will make you feel. A genuine smile over a flattering remark is real gold. Smile at everyone, offer a hand where you can.
4. Being a positive member of society doesn't often make the news, sad but true. To make a difference in a life you have to be different. Volunteer at an Achilles event or with an Achilles athlete. It could forever change you.
5. Good luck. You can turn this around but it will take both pure honesty and a lot of courage. These are good things all people should strive for.
Over under is Wednesday midnight for Mikes first maniacal post under a fake handle on this thread. This has become a local spectacle and plenty of money is changing hands. Under is the favorite 2/1.

Mike Rossi cheated to gain a BQ at the Via Marathon and then arrogantly lied about his race there. At Boston he proceeded to promote himself over the Boston Marathon bombing victims and further denigrated a dedicated educator who would receive death threats over his Madam Principal letter.
He would go on to viciously attack Cecily Tynan and issue death threats (!) and other violent, intimidating posts to many others on LR and Twitter, also tried to bully others with threats of lawsuits. He has been arrested twice that
we know of and is now a 2-time Philly Magazine Loser of the Year with a 3-peat almost guaranteed.
There are many others who should be on any list for sympathy, Mike would be at the very bottom if at all. Even now he is trying to garner sympathy with a weak apology that does not address the wrongs he has perpetrated and carried out.
Sympathy for the devil? I think not. Give sympathy where it is due, however Mike has a long, long way to go to deserve a single drop. Most of humanity precedes him in this line.
Sad is the death of Ken Stillman. We feel deep sorrow for his partner and son, people Mike often ridiculed in his mean spirited diatribes.
It is not sad for the justice coming to Mike Rossi. He deserves all he is entitled to, wholly as a result of his actions alone.
His downfall is his own.
His FB post was obviously for one reason only, to get out in front of this train wreck thinking he could minimize damage. I can imagine this is all in preparation for his court date to show he is a rehabilitated man and has straightened his life out. When late September rolls around so will the threats and intimidation tactics. He exists for one thing and one thing only, himself.

I totally agree with what you wrote. This is the only plausible explanation for Rossi's fake crocodile tears. People, look at all the posts Mike Rossi has made on LRC and not once do I see him writing like a drunk. His whole alcohol story is fake and premeditated to get points with the Judge. Rossi will be back again like countless times before when he was supposedly going to stop threatening people. He is just a poor excuse for a human being.

When you find some spare time, how about merging all of the Coe v. Ovett threads? Those poor guys are condemned to race a thousand times on LR.
Basically all Mike had to do to get letsrun off his back was admit to cheating. That's it. He couldn't do it. Obviously the guy has serious issues.
Notice he blamed it on alcohol though. Typical.

The state can prosecute if they believe criminal activity occurred, but in a domestic dispute it's unlikely if the other party retracts their charges/suit. The state has bigger things to worry about than lovers quarrels and prosecuting one is absurd if the best witness, victim, and source of discovery is not interested in pursuing the case.
The criminal docket lists the charge as simple assault. There is no mention of anything domestic related in the entire document. In fact, the only mention of "domestic assault" that anyone has been able to provide is from a local area tabloid known to a)get its facts wrong and b)have a bone to pick with Mr. Rossi.

His biggest problems aren't legal ones. Among other things, I can't imagine most brides are too eager to hire a wedding DJ who punched his wife.
Before I just thought Mike was a jerk.
But punching your own wife (Cindy) in the face is really disgusting. From what I have heard in the neighborhood, her nose is broken and her face heavily bruised.

Except...
This one sounds like it occurred in a crowd, and that there were plenty of witnesses.
So this isn't a typical domestic abuse case where the woman drops the allegations and the prosecutors are left with nothing.
If there are others who say they saw Rossi punching a woman, it makes it pretty difficult for the state to simply drop the charges.
To be fair, a case could be made that anyone who would consider marrying Mike needs a good punch in the face.
Whoah! Rossi didn't even have the decency to punch his own wife in the gut but instead went straight for the face? I wonder if it was one punch or multiple punches to her face.
