Elections have not been cancelled. Under the Ukrainian constitution, the government cannot hold elections while the country is under martial law. Zelensky declared martial law in Feb of 2022 when Russia invaded. He extended the declaration to August of 2023. Zelensky said in an interview on June 22 that elections would only be able to move forward if martial law ended by the time the scheduled 2023 parliamentary and 2024 presidential elections came around.
The EU wants Ukraine to proceed with elections under martial law. Ukraine's response is that the EU must respect Ukraine's constitution. So, for those who have been screeching about this war being a US proxy war, it is interesting that they now want to deny Ukraine its autonomy under its laws and impose a different system.
And all this fake outrage over whether Zelensky has to ignore his country's constitution and hold election at a time when the Russians have spotters on the ground to make sure that guided missile targets will inflict the maximum number of civilian casualties, might be relevant if there was political upheaval in Ukraine. Zelensky's support is rock solid with polls showing 75-80% support for reelection and similar numbers for his party.
Finally, while there is precedent for holding elections during wartime, holding elections while larges parts of your country are under occupation and when millions have had to flee the country is not a free and fair election. People in the occupied parts of the country do not get to vote. People who are scattered abroad do not even know where they will live in Ukraine when they are able to return and may not be able to access a ballot. And as noted above, you can be certain that busy polling stations will be a target of Russian missile attacks. So, the whole cancelling elections attack is really an extremely cheap shot and totally disingenious.

And what happens if this war goes on for 10 more years? Or let's say, Ukraine does not ever relinquish title over Crimea and Donbas? How long is this martial law going to last?

If you REALLY support elections in Ukraine then tell Putin the Nazi sh*tstain to withdraw his troops. Putin is the one standing in the way of elections in Ukraine.
Saw some more hysterical videos of RussoNazi invaders getting slaughtered last night. Like, leg missing crawling across a minefield, and their buddies just leave them behind. Ukraine continues to do God’s work and kill off these disgusting vermin.
You're a brain diseased monster. Go away. I can't believe Brothers Johnson tolerate posters like you.
Poor baby. All I did was point out the RussoNazis are a disgusting bunch of subhuman scum, lead by a Nazi war criminal. I can’t help it if it’s hysterical watching them get squashed like ants underfoot. I can’t believe more people don’t punch you in the face for being an ugly pro-Russian moron.

That is up to Ukrainians. It is their country and they have a constitution that is clear that there can be no elections while martial law is in place. The Ukrainian parliament approved all of Zelensky's decrees on martial law and the general mobilization. 324 of the 424 members of parliament voted in favor of the extension. If Ukrainians want elections to take place, the parliament can override Zelensky and end martial law. The Putinists don't mention this fact because they want you to think that Zelensky has become a dictator so all the Nazis can take over.
Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) has voted to extend martial law and general mobilization in the country, lawmaker Yaroslav Zhelezniak informed. The term of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine is extended from 05:30...

Speaking of dictators, let’s talk about the Nazi-infested sh*thole that is Russia. Did Fuhrer Putin get rid of term limits and appoint himself dictator for life? I believe he did. What a disgusting country.
Previously, the Constitution established term limit for the presidency restricting the officeholder to serve no more than two terms. However, this limitation has since been overhauled in large part due to the constitutional amendments that were ratified in 2020. One of the amendments passed reset the terms of both Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev, allowing either to serve as president for a full two terms regardless of their previous terms.

"Ukraine not meeting expectations on any front" ~ CNN
In its early phases, Ukraine’s counteroffensive is having less success and Russian forces are showing more competence than western assessments expected, two western officials and a senior US military official tell CNN.

Kyiv will need 117 years of progress at this pace in order to regain control over the lost territories.

The US spends hundreds of billions of dollars on wars and sends thousands of soldiers around the world to fight in them, but it seems unable to translate all that might into anything that could be called victory.
Do you have any facts or intelligent analysis you want to share? Or maybe raw intel data as one of the pro-Ukrainians shares.
