I also find it hard too going down hill,because knees;however,once your knees get used to it and have enough cushing it will be fun rolling down hill.The youngsters looks great when they are doing it.They still have cushing on their knees.
If you want to strengthen your knees.Copper(Rono) hill is the best prestription med. I can offer you.I wouldn't pre-scribe you any other med.

Nate ran a pr 1500 of 6:31. The 6 minute goal seems closer now! Frankie left the throws ring and finished his first 1500 in 7:40 (he took it out a bit fast, so he thinks he can do better next time). All of my "skinny, fast" boys did well too.!

The 306 day of training phase II. Oh! it looks like it was going to snow,but the youngster were ready to do it anyway.it didn't matter if it was going to snow or not.
We nail it until the snow ran way from us.The snow thought it was going to scare the hell out of the hill,but not the way we have been doing for the last 6 weeks. We have tunnel vision now for training and racing.
It starts like this: 22mwp +80mhc+28mcd=130 minutes. We are at home now taking showers and stretching eat breakfast and take a cat nap this is morning workout.
We might do time trial this evening;however,the weather looks wierd for now.

That hamstring again show up at 150m to go,but it was right leg.I think spike did it this time around.I'm trying to get ready for Michigan race April 27,2007 5k.I'm sending the photo to Malmo now.

The 307 day is the day off.I'm healing my right hamstring.I feel alot better now after the pain,I had after time trial. I can't wait for next day to keep on training hard.We just completed the 6 week of team-rono.com plan. It is coming so good.
Every one agree with my method of training. They are able to see the results.Not the coach and athletes alone can see. The people around athletes can also see the progress of the training and racing is the true method of training.
The six weeks we called a success for us.We are getting ready to lunch level three very soon.After that everything will be down hill after so many training of up hills.
See you tomorrow in the morning hill training and Academy track for eveining section training.

The Times of London said that your weight is now "a touch over 12st." I think that's about 170 pounds. Is that right? Are you still going to try to get down to your old racing weight of about 140 pounds?
I THOUGHT he still looked 'pretty heavy', even though he ran well, at Carlsbad. Can you imagine how he will 'fly' when he is even 150 ?
you dont need spikes yet....stay with the flats. the spikes will do more harm than good at this point.

Yes, I think it will make a huge difference. Henry will be flying!
Henry- you are in shape, but your legs are not yet ready to run too hard in the spikes. Let your hamstring heal up, then use the spikes a little bit at first (100-200m), then a few days in shoes, then spikes again, each time a little more. Your calves will get strong and then your hamstrings will be alright.
