Chinese diplomats often get out over their skis, but it is pretty interesting that China's envoy to the EU actually acknowledged the issue over the 1991 borders. China had previously been purposefully vague about "sovereignty" so as to give Russia room to claim Crimea. If this quote is anything other than another slip up from a Chinese diplomat, it may indicate that China is willing to accept Ukraine liberating Crimea in order to resolve the conflict.
It was also interesting that after denying it for over a year, Putin has now admitted that Russia fully funded Wagner. Russia had always denied this in order to have plausible deniability as to Wagner's actions. The "little green men" who were in Donbass were always claimed by Russia to not be their forces. But they were Wagner and now we know that it was in fact Russia.
