Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia is the invaders and occupiers.
Did you know Ukraine started the war before Russia arrived?
They are the first, original invading fascists of the Donbas. Ukraine's Nazis invaded the Donbas before Russia ever arrived. Ukraine’s Nazis started the first violence in 2013 then Ukraine’s new EU friendly government armed their Nazi problem further, to spread violence onto civilians based on their ethnicity. Read about 2013/2014 to learn more about why you are commenting in this thread right now.
You support independence of Ukraine’s fascists who initiated and escalated the violence before Russia was there, causing this war. Why not support the independence of Ukraine’s first victims? If you had, you would not be losing this war now.
Selective memories but only after 2022. You are a moral fraud hiding with Nazi virtue signaling. It's why we expose you...
In June 2023 we now see Russia has virtually unlimited resources while Ukraine isn't really listening to our advice and their spring counteroffensive didn't do much, even the western media coverage has turned mildly critical (which is how you know it's a disaster)
"In 2023, the West will deliver 250 tanks to Ukraine, including some 120 Leopards, 31 Abrams. The Russian Armed Forces receive an average of more than 110 modernised and new military vehicles every 24 hours."

Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia is the invaders and occupiers.
Following your logic: the US invaded Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and many more. The US are the invaders and occupiers.
There is no logic for fascist supporters. Just excuses. America used to virtue signal with politeness, good vs. bad, political correctness. Now it virtue signals with Nazis. New lows in American history. This makes Trump Proud Boys look like Amnesty International.
New York Times on Ukraine's government enabling its Nazi state:
“What worries me, in the Ukrainian context, is that people in Ukraine who are in leadership positions, either they don’t or they’re not willing to acknowledge and understand how these symbols are viewed outside of Ukraine,” said Michael Colborne, a researcher at the investigative group Bellingcat who studies the international far right. “I think Ukrainians need to increasingly realize that these images undermine support for the country.”
Troops’ use of patches bearing Nazi emblems risks fueling Russian propaganda and spreading imagery that the West has spent a half-century trying to eliminate.

That’s why we don’t support Russia - the country with more Nazis than every other country combined. Absolutely a vile, Nazi-infested sh*thole of a country. Thankfully Ukraine is doing God’s work and killing off RussoNazis like crazy and making the world a safer place.

I shouldn't have to explain the Cold War, or the Russian interference in my country's election, or the government-controlled Russian media's threats to use nuclear bombs on my country. But those would be some of the reasons. Russian is an enemy of America. You would have to be mentally deficient to have asked the question.
Take a deep breath, we won the cold war 30 years ago and this propaganda doesn't work anymore. "Russian interference" was an excuse for Hillary losing. Speaking of Hillary I'm more concerned about how much disdain she has for people like me than the Russia boogeymen. You guys push crap like this and then wonder why everybody doesn't rally around the next war you want to start.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that the situation Ukraine shows women and children are the "primary victims of conflict and climate change."

Russia has remained an enemy since the Cold War, with a slim 1-2 year period where things could have improved. They did not, and its' been business as usual since the Cold War. Russians are born serfs and hate who they are told to hate. They hate you.
The Russian invasion is the biggest threat to Europe, our allies, and global security we have seen in 70 years. You born-again Chamberlain-appeaser types, who are in the small, misguided minority, are today's Jane Fondas. You are embarrassing yourselves in history.
I never mentioned Hillary Clinton.
The Russians did interfere the 2016 election in well-document ways, particularly the Internet Research Agency in Leningrad, which has actually had a few posters here (you should send in a resume - you have the kind of mind they can use).
The US did not invade Ukraine or Russia. The US did not cause Russia to invade Ukraine. That was Russia's personal decision made for obvious reasons (that have nothing to do with NATO expansion or fake Nazis or any other boogeyman).
I encourage you again to review government-controlled Russian media statements and threats on how Russia is eager to use nuclear bombs on YOU and your family and friends. Russians hate you almost as much as they hate Ukrainians.

That quote from an unidentified "Defence Minister on the Security Council operational meeting" is not in the article you linked.
I did a Google search of the quote and, you guessed it, it comes from Twitter (poster named Trollstoy - ring a bell here?) where it is similarly unidentified and unsourced.
You should send in a resume to the Internet Research Agency of Leningrad as well, Boris.
The "Ukrainian government spends millions on monuments and streets to honor Nazi collaborators and neofascists"
Hundreds of Nazi monuments and Nazi streets. Unreal. Doesn't get more Nazi than that.
Thanks for sharing the evidence. It's important we learn the truth.
Hey Lolly, Russia's most popular Wago-Nazi trashed all of your "pretty stories" of de-Nazification" and "demilitarization" and basically admitted what anyone with common sense and an IQ over 90 already knew - Russia invaded Ukraine for Russian glory and to rob Ukraine and take its assets.

Good podcast on Russia's actions in Ukraine. The toll on civilians is something that is underreported. I believe that is in part due to Ukraine's strict restrictions on war correspondence. While there are press freedom concerns, the reality is that in a modern battlefield, an errant photo or video clip can be quickly geolocated and targeted by the enemy. But the attacks that happen away from the battlefield on civilian areas (schools, hospitals, houses, apartments, stores, etc.) are brutal and vicious and rarely get any attention from the press. I think the major outlets fear that highlighting Russia's barbaric campaign against civilian targets risks an escalation of the war that could be catastrophic. But the podcast makes it clear that Russia's objective in Ukraine is destruction. Russia understands that Ukraine will not fall and there is a good chance that Ukraine will be able to regain significant territory this summer. Russia's objective is to just destroy as much of Ukraine as possible before it agrees to some sort of armistice to end the war. Russia is now just trying to make it clear to the countries that Russia considers within its sphere of influence that if you cross Putin, you will suffer the same fate as Ukraine.

As I said before, Prigozhin is where you can go if you want to get an objective assessment of the war in Ukraine. He will readily admit when his forces get beat and will not overstate his forces successes. He is the only one in Russian politics who can speak out on the war because he is the head of a PMC. The provides him some cover from Russia's strict and harsh laws banning "disparaging" the military. Also, Prigozhin knows how to maneuver politically and is always careful to leave Putin out of his critiques. Instead, he claims that Putin is the victim of corrupt MoD brass who are telling him lies. This makes his critique more like the respected tradition of appeals to the Tsar. We have seen Russian soldiers making these appeals to Putin regarding their equipment and leadership (or lack thereof). They are strictly protected in Russia due to the long tradition that even was tolerated under communism.
