I honestly think that she is actually starting to believe that she is a celebrity athlete, although for the life of me I cannot think why. I'm a UK based runner, have coached at the national level and can say with a degree authority that no one has actually heard of her except for a handful of those social media followers. She is truly a unknown in the world of running in the UK.

I have been working on something pretty special over the past few weeks. I have teamed up with @idealfituk to create my own protein flavour for Black Friday alongside the lovely @trainerlindsey and @karinaelle

✨LONG, HONEST POST ALERT✨

So I’m not going to lie....this year in particular has been full of some major ups and major downs in both my personal life and work. But hey...everybody gets those RIGHT?

This week in particular has been one of my busiest yet with Valencia Marathon, the Samsung launch, pre-Limassol marathon trip and my own work. I have barely had time to think but for the first time-I have just sat down with a brew, looked at this photo and thought....holy s*** what’s happening right now is pretty special. If you have been following me for a while you will know what my main passions in life are...

It’s easy to concentrate of the negatives isn’t it? To think about what you could do better! To focus on what you don’t do so well rather than what you do, do well? I’m pretty sure I’m not alone here.

But for the first time in a very long time I have actually just realised that I am a pretty tough cookie! This year has thrown a lot of curve balls, some that will change my life for ever but I must admit I am pretty bloody good at getting back up again, never giving up and always standing up for what I believe in. I am proud of myself for always being me, for always doing what I love even when at times it’s not the easiest, I’m proud of myself for inspiring others to make a change in their lives no matter how small that might have been and I’m proud of myself for creating such an amazing product with a brand that holds the same values as me. Be kind to yourself ladies-you deserve it xx

And she would have half that if this thread wasn't following her antics.

That drivel post got 30 likes and yet she thinks she is famous and inspirational. I suspect more people are following this thread than are following her in real life.

She certainly have up on holding 4 hour pace in that last marathon.

The thing that bothers me is she is clearly capable of running much faster but knows nothing about running and is not dedicated enough to train properly.

I don't think you are considering her actual goals. She doesn't want to be a fast runner or even do the things she says she does (like 53 marathons on 53 days), all she wants is the media attention and use that attention to accomplish her other goals. People are stupid and gullible and she has used that to her advantage. The belief that people need to, or should, be honest, is a huge advantage to people who don't feel that way. Her extraordinarily minor status she has gained from this won't last long, don't worry.

She is completely deluded.

She cheated at her record attempts and got called out, but is brazen enough to just carry on with incredible cheek, and thinks having this GAUL makes her tough!!

It is a mystery how anyone could find her inspiring. If they do, they obviously didn't hear she cheated her records and holds NO records and has just done a couple of very average real marathons and NO ultras.

I alerted Idealfit to her scamming and sent them this thread. They weren't remotely interested.

Says a lot about their ethics that their crap products are knowingly promoted by a scamming cheat!

Good points but she's already milked it for a few years while good athletes get nothing.

Bad PR for IdealfitUK, but then again, a company that sells "special" protein that only works for women, can't say I'm that surprised they don't care about the cheating scandal, or ethics in general.

Does anyone know if IdealfitUK have had to do any of the same purging of negative comments from their social media as Amy has? I notice a couple of bad reviews on their facebook page, but nothing specific to this.

I'm not sure it's bad PR. I would suggest that the target audience for the 'Women Only Protein' products isn't likely to be found lurking on the LetsRun forum. I would also suspect that anyone who buys such products is more of a gym bunny / fitness fan and isn't remotely interested in the world of performance running. They're likely to be found guzzling down a pint of protein shake after spending 30 minutes in a spin class, body pump or something of that ilk. They probably spend most of their spare time looking through instagram and posting motivational meme's. They're not very likely to be found grinding out tough interval sessions, long runs and lactate threshold workouts, and certainly won't be troubling the sharp end of any races.

If any of their customers have heard of LetsRun or this thread I would suspect that they'll just view us as some sort of elitist running forum that ridicules anything that doesn't meet our self defined opinions of real running. They won't care that she has falsely claimed to be a world record holder and stunt running fraud.

I'm bored of Amy now and have decided to simply ignore her silly 'motivational' selfies and instragram posts. She's a fraud, we know it, she knows we know it, she doesn't care....

Us getting bored with these scammers and letting them carry on is just what they want.

We need to keep our eye on her and expose her to every sponsor she cons into supporting her.

Whoever runs the Idealfit uk facebook page is obviously a thick loser and it might not be anyone high up in the company.

Therefore I am e-mailing all the evidence of her scamming, including the Marathon Investigation one, to their CEO.

Will the rest of you do the same.

I agree, her and Dave shouldn't be allowed to just shrug the whole WR publicity scam off and carry on like it never happened. Fraud is fraud and shouldn't be tolerated in any industry.

Just a quick observation from the Idealfit facebook page; I notice that they have over half a million followers, but usually just 1 or 2 likes per post, if that. Looks like they're not above a little fudging of numbers themselves to appear more popular than they are. I think we should keep trying, but it's not that surprising that all messages so far have been ignored by them.

It's just one of these "eat this and get slim" companies.

Even if they are trying to flog weight loss scam products, you'd think they would still be wary of sponsoring a lying cheat.
