I am alarmed that Henry is a month behind in paying his bills and has no job. Maybe someone out there in Albquq, NM could help with a part time job instead of just talking about what an inspiration Henry is? That don't pay the bills.

I would buy a Run Rono T-shirt, and I know plenty of others who would too. Of course there's the initial investment, but maybe you could get somebody to fund the upfront costs and take a share of the profits with you.
No upfront costs here, I don't think: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/
You should also be making a small amount from your website. Google Adsense is the easiest way to monetize your site:

And there's nothing wrong with selling autographs! A time-tested source of income for thousands of athletes. Where do I send my check?
Wejo, maybe you and Henry could team up? I know I'd buy Henry Rono inspired shirt. Make it a throwback style like Nike has done with the Pre line. I'd say a good deal of runners would pay $40 for it.
I would.

Well done, Henry!
It's good to see that you are running well. We see you up here on the path every so often and we are always inspired. We've told all the Eldorado kids we coach about you and they are inspired as well.
Congrats!

Does anyone have the video of the 3000m world record in Oslo as I would really like to see it.
If anyone has a copy or knows where I could get a copy of it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
The 300 day of training was 50 minutes warm up at 4 am + 5k at 7:am Carlsbad(17:48) + 45 minutes whirl-pool.
It was a nice Sunday in San Diego.By the way I'm talking with the people in Oslo as we speak.
Henry
Henry,
How do you warm up for 50 minutes before a 5k race? Isnt that pretty far for a man in his 50s?

What do you think I should do?
Henry
Well, everyone does things a little differently. However, it seems that maybe a "shakeout" 2 mile jog would have been just as good. For someone your age and around 17s for the 5k, I would be shocked if running that extra distance would be that beneficial. With that being said, I am glad it worked out for you. I am just curious if you could have ran faster by saving that energy.

Henry: when I was training, post college and going to grad school, I got a job as a security guard which worked out perfect for training and going to school. I worked the midnight to 8am shift, just guarding an empty office building. I did alot of reading and situps, push ups, etc. I got off work at 8am then did a workout, ate, went to sleep, then worked out again in tme late pm with the club and still didn't have to be at work til midnight. You might check it out.
Thanks Henry.
We appreciate you keeping us informed on your training.
Hope to see you soon.

I'm 47. It takes me quite a bit more warmup these days to get loose for a race or hard workout, especially in the morning.
Also, I don't believe you should say that a longer warmup will wear him out because he's running 17's for 5K. I hope to be in the 17's or very low 18's by the end of the summer (probably low/mid-18's right now). But ... I am doing enough mileage, 75-80 mpw, that a 3-4 mile warmup doesn't take anything out of me at all. I'm sure the same is true for Henry.
