So did you?
Who's following this scam?
We still need to keep our eye on how much he raises for charity, versus the enormous amount he got on Gofundme.
I messaged his Facebook page asking about his claimed over 300 marathons and lying about times, but no reply.
the last 2 days he's collected £200 pounds for himself via gofundme and £125 for charity via justgiving.
wont get anywhere near £250,000 pound at this rate, he needs to be actively campaigning for donations. just posting links on social media and a website aint gonna cut it.
he should be contacting local media every time he rolls into a new town, giving talks to kiddies, shaking tins on his runs and all that other fundraising type of junk...its not like he's running every day and he's got a crew to help him.

He obviously doesn't care at all about raising money for charity.
He's already got what he wanted - a 41 grand Gofundme donation so he can take off on this vacation.
Disgusting that people can get money out of people in this way, by leading them to believe he will raise so much for charity.
Refuses to answer questions on Facebook. Makes out someone is an admin for his page and he's too busy to reply. But as you say, he's not running every day so has loads of time to answer my questions.

Too obvious. Poor trolling. Trolling needs to be more subtle.
Where did the troll coach mike go?
Man, I totally forgot I posted on this thread. I was bored that night and was a few too many beers into a 24 pack. CoachMike was of course CoachKev copypasta from the Rob Young thread (and usaathleticcoach = ukathleticscoach and Nick's Mom = Rob's Mom).
How many countries has he done so far?

He's not a CHANCE of raising that amount for charity and why would he care? He's got the trip funded so the charity can be forgotten about

Anyone following this crap?
He refuses to answer any message on Facebook.
Still raising very little for charity, but hey, he doesn't care, as he got his 41 grand public donation for his funded vacation
Still putting zero effort into raising money for charity.
He's happy enough he got his 41 grand gift for his funded vacation.
Still refusing to answer any questions on Facebook and refusing to say where his 314 marathons were, which appear to be a total invention!

This is just a funded vacation and he doesn't care about raising charity money at all
Well, I'm sure the story of this trip will get him laid plenty of times, so what does he care?

Anyone following this tripe? Is he still raising hardly anything for charity?
It will be interesting to see how he gets on in countries like Chad or Mauritania. It must be fun to be him. One thing is certain, he will be as fit as a fukking fiddle after all of this. If he finishes, he will be one of the fittest people on the planet.
Update on the only statistics that matter:
Go Fund Me: £42,150
Just Giving: £13,736
More significantly, he has only added just over £4,000 to the Just Giving account since he started this adventure. His stated goal is £250,000, but at this rate he will be lucky to raise £25,000.
My question is if he is actually running the marathons. Unless the whole length is recorded on camera, it could be easily fudged on a bike or in a car. No updates in a month here, but only seems to update that once or twice a month.

He is certainly not running marathons in the sense of a definite start / finish line with a determination to complete the distance non stop within a certain time target. Instead he seems to be doing long slow jogs with whomever is available and taking in rest breaks etc until the GPS says he has covered 42.2 km.
Update, if anybody's interested.
According to Facebook he has now run 34 marathons in 34 countries. It's not clear where or when they were run as the web page hasn't been updated since early February.
But the real news is in a video at the top of his Facebook page. Nick has launched a new fundraising venture, this time with Kickstarter to fund is photo book. So now you have three options to donate, one goes to charity and two go to him.
Update on the only statistics that matter:
7 March 29 March
Go Fund Me: £42,150 £42,170
Kickstarter £0 £1,029
Just Giving: £13,736 £15,075
The changes over the past three weeks show £1,049 going to Nick and £1,339 going to charity.

Countries listed on Strava. If he is a photog, I don't know why he doesn't put any photos of Strava.
