A race walker leads. Bizarre. "And Desi is out of the medal hunt" Huh??? Another hour to go & they claim Desi will not get top 3?!

Of the 4 drop-offs, this is the largest gap.
She does this on a regular basis. She looks fine.

Commercial?
Where are you watching?
The NBC Olympics online stream has zero commercials.
You're doing it wrong.
Mary Keitany's resplacement Visiline Jepkesho has been dropped. Bad decision for Keitany not to be on team.
Leader from Belarus is coached by Shobukhova who was WMM winner and had drug ban.
The attrition has started. If the Americans can hang on, there's a medal. Nine women left.
Course looks flat as a track. Is this true?
Here is some info on the leader:
Former British marathon star Mara Yamauchi has questioned the “astonishing†performance of Volha Mazuronak in last weekend’s London Marathon.
The Belarussian finished fourth in 2:23:54 after running the second half of the race almost three minutes faster than the first, which features the downhill section.
“I find myself unable to understand her performance,†said Yamauchi, second only to Paula Radcliffe on Britain’s all-time list.
Yamauchi noted that the second part of Mazuronak’s marathon was a personal half marathon best by almost a minute and a half, but insisted: “I am not accusing her of anythingâ€.
However, she added: “After her performance in London, I predict that Mazuronak will produce another astonishing performance in Rio, winning an Olympic medal which could be gold.

Cool so it's down to 6 and US is 2/6
I have to disagree with Masback about Mazuronak and her pedigree - she actually raced in the 2005 IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championships.
She has also placed 4th in the London Marathon. These are much better results than an Amy Cragg for the USA.
USA - TAN LINES!
They're talking like Desi is dead, I just don't believe she's out of it. It's a 20 second gap, did they even watch the trials?
The Belarussian ran very well at London last year. Well enough to raise questions.

9 in lead pack.
It looks bad but it was just the kenisio tape coming off of her Achilles/calf area.
Americans are looking good so far! Desi is nowhere in the frame.
Desi is running the race exactly how she wants. flanagan and cragg are yoyo-ing with the pack and will likely pay for it. you heard here first.
