Also, I saw a tweet Awad posted that suggests he was disrespected by someone(s) after the fall or due to the fall? Pretty cryptic

So when are the IC4A/ECAC entries going to be up?

I was originally looking to lancertiming.com for the entries & results as they were listed as the timers according to Princeton Athletics AND the link was up on their homepage, but I discovered on Friday PM it was PaynesCornerTiming who was publishing the results.

Eddie Owens of Princeton had a great steeple race as he came within 0.05 seconds of his PR to win in 8:46.47, which boosts him up in the regional rankings to 8th (his previous SB was 8:55.43 from Heps, which would have ranked him around 40th in the region). Great job!

Other IC4A winners include Sam Mattis (discus, 201-02), Adam Rodriguez (LJ, 24-10), Rob Robbins (JT, 236-09), and Brian Zabilski (5k, 14:11.60). Cornell men finished 3rd in the team rankings, and according to Cornell TF/XC on twitter, they finished 2nd... not sure why the meet results and their reporting are different.

I didn't look at the ECAC results in detail, but recall Cornell rookie Eve Glasergreen won the 5km...

And the Cornell women won the meet!--first time, according to Cornell, that an Ivy team has won ECACs.

Didn't see Radoslav in the results for the final of the 400H--hope she's okay...

BRF - thanks for the typo correction and the info about the decathlon. Jamerson wasn't originally included in the overall decathlon results but completed 9 of 10 events. He would have finished third overall with 6488 points if the results were updated/corrected.

Using the Hepstrack post (http://hepstrack.com/blog/2016/06/05/returning-to-duck-country/) as a reference, I went through the Ivy competitors at NCAAs and made my best guess as to their finish. Interested to hear others thoughts on the matter.

By my count, that would give Ivies 11 first-team All-Americans and 8 second-team All-Americans.

Should be an exciting Friday night for Heps distance fans with Randon in the 15 final and Awad in the 5k. I think the 15 will go out quick because there are too many jumped-up 800 guys in the race and the true milers like Wynne and York won't let the pace dawdle. If everything clicks maybe Randon gets the automatic trials qualifier of 3:38. That would be a monster race.

Awad bounced back nicely from the Heps crash by running sub-3:38 at Swarthmore and punching his ticket to trials. Could Sapienza's Heps 5k record of 13:30.79 fall? The weather conditions in Eugene look pretty good tonight for a quick pace, With Ches coming back from injury and having run the 10k on Wednesday, maybe one of the other contenders will figure that they have a better chance banging out 65 second laps from the gun.

Time to hit the sports bar- go Heps!

With Tiernan/Knight/etc. I think the race could be fast! And Cheserek has won against Lalang in 13:18 if I remember correctly, and then Lalang ran 13:00 later in the summer. Hopefully they go for it and Awad gets his time and maybe mixes it up with those guys - he's definitely capable!

It would be nice to see a fast 5k tonight but I doubt it. I would love to see Awad and Cheserek kick it in, side-by-side, to see who has the better kick because I feel they both haven't reached their full potential yet...

And good guess on the hammer places - you got them both correct!

Good luck to James in the 1500m. That should be a fast final - sub 3:40 for him?

Athletes are focusing now on getting Olympic qualifiers. The window closes on 7/11.

From the athletes I know who are competing as pros, this is the list I compiled of international athletes who have met the Olympic Games standards in their event(s). They will likely get picked by their nation to compete at the Games since I believe they do not have a complex qualification system like the USA does.

- Bruno Hortelano (Cornell): Spain, 100m (10.06 yesterday), 200m (20.48)

- Stephen Mozia (Cornell): Nigeria, shot put (20.73m from May)

- Nikki Okwelogu (Harvard undergrad): Nigeria, shot put (17.91m from NCAA Prelims)

- Alexi Pappas (Dartmouth): Greece, 10km

- Muhammad Halim (Cornell): US Virgin Islands, triple jump (16.99m from April)

Other athletes I looked at who haven't met the Games standard yet:

- Julia Ratcliffe (Princeton undergrad): New Zealand, hammer

- Peter Callahan (Princeton): Belgium, 1500m

- Samyr Laine (Harvard): Haiti, triple jump

- Nadia Eke (Columbia): Ghana, triple jump

- Marvellous Iheukwumere (Columbia): Nigeria, sprints

Molly Renfer (Harvard - Switzerland) announced on twitter yesterday that she is done for the season

Thanks to Mary et al. at Hepstrack.com for keeping us all abreast of developments in athletes' acceptances for the OG!

One note: the folks at Cornell have said that Rudy WInkler is in a five-year academic program (double engineering major, I think), so his graduation year is probably more accurately listed as 2018. This could also explain why they say he has two more years of eligibility, as the Heps' four-and-no-more rule can be waived for academic reasons. (Winkler lost virtually all of his first track season to injury/surgery.)
