I so wanna come back as a rock star in the next life. Man, all the chicks you could ever want, one or two, or three a night, or all at the same time. And the girls are into to it for street cred with their girlfriends.

My granddaughter and I were at the Goodwill Games in Seattle in 1990. After the meet, some of the athletes hung around signing autographs. We approached a group consisting of Leroy Burrell, Carl Lewis and Carl Lewis' agent.

I was nudging my granddaughter to hand her program to Carl's agent in order to get Carl's autograph. But she misunderstands, and hands it to Burrell, asking HIM to get Carl's autograph!

He and I lock eyes and nod. Me slightly embarrassed, Burrell very gracious. He signed his name, then passed it on to Carl. A real class act.

They were the two fastest in the world at the time.

I was working in Los Angeles when I stepped into an elevator and saw the actress Marla Gibbs from The Jeffersons. I was kind of excited and said,"Oh Heey, Florence Henderson!!". She looked at me and said,"Umm no, Florence Henderson looks like you". I sat there confused for a minute when it hit me that Florence Henderson was the mom on the Brady Bunch and white just like me. I then realized I called her Florence Henderson because her character's name on the Jeffersons was Florence. I explained the mistake to her and she was quiet understanding.

I was running in Central Park and rolled my ankle very hard and went down. Writhing in pain on the ground, a hand reached down. I look up, squinting, and see Skip Bayless staring me down. I reach up, beginning to thank him, when he pulled the hand back immediately and said "Sike." One and only celebrity brush in for me, and it was certainly disastrous.

That's terrible. I can't believe he would really do that.

Bumped into two Kenyan runners at Hiron's Drug store the Sunday after Pre and asked which races they had run and how they did. One indicated he had run the 10K on Friday in 26:50. The other said he had run the two mile in 8:13. I'm not sure if this was the case of his race time being lost in translation because I know who Bernard Lagat is (and this was not Bernard Lagat), but I guess even world class runners fib about their race times.

Great story. Hope it is true. You'll like this:

I was going into 8th grade and a serious Dinosaur Jr fan. This is right around the time Green Mind came out, so what, 1991 or 1992? Anyway, we went to see them play (sans Lou) with my friend's older brother and had a great time. After the show, J was hanging out and talking to people. My friend and I walked up and just stood there in the small crowd of people with whom he was chatting. Everyone else was just treating him like a normal guy, I remember being surprised. Since we were just little kids, he was super cool. He noticed us, offered autographs and even gave us Green Mind shirts for free (we had home-made shirts). I still remember making mine. It was a plain, white t-shirt and I had written "The weirdness flows between us" on the front. My friend had done the same, but had written "Keep the glove" on his.

Fast forward twenty years... I go to see them play at the Cats Cradle near Chapel Hill and as I am waiting for my friend (same friend) in the parking lot prior to the show, I notice that J is just chilling by himself next to the bus. I knew it was kind of dorky, but I walked over to say hello. He was super nice and talked to me for a minute or two. My friend walked up and I REALLY wanted to recount the incident twenty years earlier, but decided to play cool and walk away. It was a killer show.

I saw Winky mcDincky and he flipped out when I asked him to sign my peepee. He kicked my dog in the stones and set my hair on fire== now you are cooking with gas!

19 year olds are grown women who can make their own choices in life. 19 year olds go and fight wars, if they want an older guy it doesn't make the guy a bad guy. It just makes you jealous.
