And what exactly is that worth to a citizen runner of the world? It's a conference meet, no more. If you're going to play up conference titles, win the Kenyan trials and that's worth an NCAA and very nearly a World and Olympic title too.

Neither of them would make the Kenyan Junior teams.
The MAJOR difference:
- German's 3:39 was won by front running with no rabbits.
- German's 3:55(i) and 3:56(i) were completely solo efforts FROM THE GUN.
- Gregson's 3:37 was a hoovered time with rabbits in the race.
- Same goes with his 3:58 mile.
Gregson is just anopther guy in a long line of guys who get hoovered to fast(er) times. German is unique in that he can go out there and do it solo. In German's 13:25 race, he was in no-man's land for a while but STILL bridged the gap with the leaders. Overcoming no-man's land is one of the hardest things to do in racing.

Fernandez finished with 5 seconds of Teg at the US champs who's run 13:08.
Gregson has nothing on German that means anything. German would kill Gregson in a 10K. Just like in the 5K. Just like in a 3K. Just like in a mile. 800m, Gregson might have the edge.
The real issue is who's the better at the wheelchair.
I think people should stop talking so much about these guys.. They are fast, sure. but there have been alot of fast junior runners who cant progress no matter how hard they train.
Google a guy named Ari Paunonen. At the age of 19 in 1977 ran 1:47.74 800m, 3:38:07 1500m, 7:43.20 3000m and a 13:41 5k only to be matched by steve ovett.
This guy was training hard and buy the time he was 28 could only manage 1:52.52 800m, 3:40.94 1500m and a 7:58.7 3000m.
Stop praising GF and RG until they proove themselves on international levels when they are seniors. goodluck to them but i can happen that this is where the PR's end.
