This crowd is rowdy wow! Marchand set an OR in the 200 IM and 80,000 fans watching here loved it
I had to change the settings from 4k to 1080 in Peacock to get it to stop freezing.
Love watching these decathlon 400s
reminds me watching high school 400s races

In the 800, I believe it will be 4 heat winners and 2 q.
Aaaaand it's Alcaraz v Djokovic again in the tennis final
75F and sunny in Paris now, sunset 7mins after 10000m start. Warm but cooler conditions than Tokyo and Budapest I think?
I am super excited for Nico! Rupp finished 13th in 2008, so I think that is a good goal for him. Top 10 would be beast.
cooler and far less humid than Tokyo

I take under
See the posted over under time is 26:40 - has to be slower than that right?

27:05 closing in something nasty. A last 1600 of 3:55, last 800 1:50, last lap 53
Seems too fast to me, I don’t think all 4 of those times/splits can coexist.
I think it'll be won in sub 27. Too many big hitters in this race.

Think it depends on who take the lead/has a plan. I could see Kiprotich essentially rabbiting for his Ugandan compatriots similar to what Mande, Kissa, Ayeko have done but previously without much lasting impact
I hope so, but I'm always surprised how tactical these races become, and they end up much slower than they should.
Nico Young just did a warmup 800m in 2:04 on the practice track. Mike Smith does this 20 min before the race to get them race ready
Nico Young ftw wrote:

Way to leave it on the track before the race even starts
It’s very dark blue, nice smart kit though
