Divisonals held today in Utah. All on the same course but broken up into 16 races throughout the day. Here are times from Boys teams:
1. AF 15:52(missing Jaster)
2. Herriman 15:58(12 sec 1-7 split)
3. Riverton 16:14
4. Skyridge 16:28
5. Lone Peak 16:40
6. Orem 16:42
7. Layton 16:45
8. Viewmont 16:47
9. Mountain View 16:49
10. Farmington 16:49
11. Maple Mountain 16:50
12. Alta 16:51On the girl's side Lone Peak just completely dominated. They are the best girl's team I've ever seen in Utah. I know Colorado has 2 outstanding teams, but LP is legit. They could win a national title. AF is very good on the girl's side as well. Definitely a top 20 team. Unfortunately it will be very hard for them to get into NXN.
There are a bunch of nationally relevant Utah girl's. Aagard and Alder are outstanding. Hedengren has been missing since Woodbridge. Hopefully she gets healthy soon(assuming she's injured).

Riverton was missing their #4 or #5 - Horner, who was their 5th man at NXR last year

The SW region really should get 2 at large bids this year. Riverton and Skyridge are top 25 teams.

Herriman beats AF 39-41 in a merge, so this state meet will be very close! Danny Simons gives AF the time advantage, but points went to Herriman again.

These teams are so evenly matched. Impossible to say what would happen if they were actually in the same race today.

Just saw that Jaster did the 2-mile time trial with the JV, which I don’t know why.
With him healthy and back on varsity, American Fork will become 7-deep since Nielson, who was not on varsity last year, closed the gap on Bradshaw.00 -
There’s no way that Herriman didn’t tempo since they had a 12 second 1-7 spread and their #1 wasn’t Steadman which he was all season.

I feel like other than American Fork and Herriman,
Riverton, Skyridge, Lone Peak, and Niwot deserve to be highly ranked in the nation as well.
And at least 2 of them won’t make it to NXN.20 -

So I found a thread that says that, because Florida State meet and NXR are 2 days apart, Belen will be resting their 1-5 from NXR.
State meet is a better place to run their 6-12. No way they finish in the top 3 at NXR with that group.

If not, something’s gotta be wrong. I think that Niwot and Lone Peak are also top 25 teams and if they get 5th and 6th they won’t even be in the equation for an at-large. This region is becoming more and more like the real NXN. I think next year it will be even stronger

California should have gotten 2 bids in 2019. It didn't happen, you can't bet on 2 bids

nobody expected it, california was very lucky. at-large teams were very weak last year for this to happen. 2nd at large could have also went to southwest last year over granada and rocky mountain
