Asher-Smith looked very smooth in running 10.87 as well. I was not high on her despite her #1 world ranking just because her pr is not at the Jamaican level, but she looks like a medalist now.

Gardner had her hamstring taped before and in the overhead shot looked very awkward, going side to side before stopping with the injury. She didn't fall on the track; she threw herself to the track after stopping. Bowie and Gardner both out now.
Good from Shady-Anne Sketchy-Braces.
Gold medal favourite.
At last, a winner that clean sport can be proud of.
SAFP just relaxed to a 10.82 into a headwind. After 60 she was just cruising. Complete race.
Schippers and Daniels in on time
and the joke of a WC continues...

1 (!) american in the 200 semis.
0 (!!!) americans in the 100 m women finals...
Who would have thought?
Still expect the US to jog into a WR in the 4x400 mixed relay.
Doesn't take much.
WR gives a $100K bonus in addition to the normal win bonus, so nice payday for whomever 2nd string runners that will run.
Pryce had a terrific start and so fluid the whole way, 10.81. She will not be beaten in the final.
They did get that WR in the mixed 4x4, an event that we did not need or deserve. Why not a cross country race if you want to add something to World's. It's absurd that they're cutting events from the DL while adding that!
Daniels got in as a time qualifier.
SAFP up half the night screwing with her hair. Will she be able to get it re-done in time for the final?
Or is it a wig?

Daniels qualified over time.
11.10092 vs 11.10093 I think
Anyone have a good link? Mine features two Russian women talking over each other non stop.
Bengtsson 4.80 NR (by 4 cms) after pole malfunction.
Awesomeness!
There is no particular reason that Americans should be great in sprints. It’s a big world out there, and the Jamaicans are still using.
There are a bunch of good US women who would be competitive on any given day for a WC final lane, if 2 of the spots were not taken by the dirty Jamaicans.
The US women are as good as any, except for CIV at the moment.

Why these athletes don't announce in advance what they are going to compete at is beyond me. It makes nonsense of the contests unless you happen to hear something just before the event begins and can change your picks. Same thing with Amos, too late to change. At least I heard about Hassan doing the 5 instead of the 15 in time.
Klosterhalfen STILL hasn't decided for 1500m or 5000m. It's getting ridiculous.
Probably waiting to see which event Hassan does.
Angelica Bengtson is strong.
First, the pole breaks on the last attempt on 4.80.
She gets a chance to try again due to equipment failure.
She borrows a pole and tries again.
Make the 4.80 and new Swedish record.

That's cool I guess. would have surely been a first with no one qualified?
That they separate on 1/10000th of a second though?
Haven't heard of that in ANY sport.
They've got 9 lanes. Use the extra for situations like that...
Features a bunch of Brits yakking away, with no mention of the ongoing political disaster back home.

Americans claiming other nations sprinters to be doped and not their own is a bit rich...
Also, Asher-Smith...
Here you have Angelia Bengtsson
Ouch, Murphy a close 3rd. Needs a small q
